How would you rate these combos?

Is that because Mammoth's OD is short-range, and Shaft, even with Rapid fire mode, is kinda long-rangeish?

I've played with RFM quite a bit and it's not for short-range fighting.

mammoth is just too slow for anything really

Scorpion is okay with any hull, especially with medium or heavy ones given that light hulls are kinda dead rn, so you really cant go wrong there. Personally I still prefer Ares, because it still has crazy range, but Mammoth received a nice buff so it really depends on your preference and playstyle.

As for RFM, I personally think it is better with medium hull because RFM is all about quick arcade shots. I think it is more suitable with medium hull that can move around the map better and pick up the enemies with arcade shots. RFM lowers the sniping damage, so on a heavy hull you will be severely slower to pick arcade shots. Heavy hulls with Shaft are usually better for camping in which case you will probably do better with other Shaft augments like Short band or heavy capacitors.

Well if you have an almost maxed out trickster drone with mammoth changes it a bit. The other day I got like 6-7 tanks...lol its one of the most fun

combos in this game.... mammoth OD with trickster...  feel like a Balrog....  

For Rapid fire to work good you really need max equipment to get that damage output; they recently nerfed the reload times which sucks.

I use Scorpion Swarm with mamoth tricker in Siege it was ok; but again they nerfed reload times.

Ares OD is good for long range and good for camping, especiallu for that long range combo

Mammoth shaft is too old school, unless you sit on flag to defense
