Unnecessary to have so many paints

Hello dear fellow tanker, don't you think that it is unnecessary to have so many paints in garrage. What is the purpose of having tons of paints from container unnecessarily, we can buy a paint Instead if required if it has any value to a tanker. Isn't? It is worthless having those paints Neither I am interested nor they have any usage to me in battles. Sadly,  one can't delete anything unnecessary from garrage seams garbage.

Yeah thats the main aim nowadays. I remember in earlier days the paints were more valuable because they used to give protection. But nowadays they are barely used as cosmetics.

They created so many paints on purpose to prevent players from getting good items from containers.

Not always.

At first, paints were tied to protections, so new paints were made when new turrets were released, to ensure that players have a variety of protection combinations to choose from. Then, protective paints were split into cosmetic paints and protective modules, at which point devs massively increased the prices of standard paints. At this point paints were the only cosmetic items in the game, so devs were adding new paints to try generate revenue that way, since the alternative is to add more p2W features.

At tfirst they added new paints exclusively to containers (which were a new thing). Then the animated paints were released, and people were going crazy over them for a while. But then we got shot effects and skins, so paints became this seconday thing that people stopped caring so much about. Dozens of animated paints were introduced via challenges, but now they just recycle the existing list of paints, since it's pointless to make new ones for a number of reasons.

As others have said, it's one of container balance things. So it was not an unintentional from developers!   Imagine if we in 2013, containers wont have anything to put on them. Now we have paints/golds/augments/skins/premium/ etc...  The abundance of paints is definitely annoying and unwanted, and made them losing their value. For me I don't prefer getting an exotic paint over any rare item!  But as I said intentional

still doesn't change the fact that containers are polluted with an infinite number of paints to prevent players from getting decent items

Honestly, I'm happy to get any paint from container so long as the look nice.

I think it's nice having many paints in the game. This way, everyone can find their favourite paint to wear in battles.
