Should Ares's OD be nerfed or should Titan's and Mammoth's be buffed?

Ares is apparently much more popular than the other heavy hulls because of its very powerful and generally more practical OD. There's little incentive to choose another heavy hull I've read.

What do you think should be done about this?

Do you think Ares's superiority is so on purpose by the TO devs or do they just not realise how much more popular and powerful Ares is?

I'm pretty sure I see about an equal amount of Ares, Titan and Mammoth players. I think Ares is pretty balanced right now. The only thing that it needs is a fix to the OD visual and physical effect sync, because right now the actual point from which the game calculates distance to enemy tanks (to determine whether they are in range of being hit) travels slower than the sprite of the ball itself and lags behind.

I agree with what Maf says about Ares. I would suggest to decrease the rate of its OD charge and/or decrease effect radius, because I do think BFG is (too) strong.

I regularly play with Mammoth and I am overall content with its performance. Regarding movement and maneuverability it is not lacking behind Titan (and vice versa) and AT-field (Mammoth's OD) is an incredibly strong and versatile OD, especially when paired with Trickster of Crisis. Jack-in-the-box effect could backfire depending on the situation. Plus Mammoth's slow speed does limit the possibilities of its OD, but again its usefulness depends on the situation you are in. I do not think it is bad let alone needs a buff.
Note that AT-field is one of the only counters against Pulsar (the other being Paladin's OD and/or the Polariser effect as a whole). In today's META where Pulsar augments are not uncommon, Mammoth can be a very powerful force.

About Titan, I cannot make any claims since I never use the hull. Its OD proves to be very effective in defending a point/territory and the healing feature makes it beneficial for nearby allies as well. AP can easily undo this effect, however, so it does have a major weakness in that regard. But overall, I don't think the hull is heavily underpowered: just niche in its classification.

Interesting reply ?

As a fellow Mammoth user myself, I'd appreciate if you wanted to share more about the OD's versatile uses. I'm sure I could learn a thing or two ?

I think ares is on par with mammoth. Mammoth is basically a living ares ball... slightly weaker but able to maneuver  and capture stuff.

However I do think that mammoth should be buffed back to what it was, when it was completely immortal and could even kill enemies from behind walls.
