We should definitively have an option to go back to the old version of yesterday because it's much more easier to see protection of enemies

I was a bit sceptical about the new augment icons, but scrolling through the TankiWiki most of the icons are not that bad. I do have some remarks on some augments, though.

General comments:

Spoiler

Augments with similar mechanics are given the same icon (ricochet-ability, projectile speed increase), which is nice.
Adaptive reload augments should have had similar icons as well, to make them easier to understand. Missed opportunity here.
However, some icons are used for several augments that have different functionalities and mechanics. It makes the meaning of the icon inconsistent, but even more so confusing for players in battle (icons below):

Alteration_smoky_assault_rounds.png

Augments:

                Assault Rounds (Smoky): increase projectile speed, impact force, less reload; no critical
                Small Caliber Charging Machine (Thunder): less reload; less damage
                Rapid-Fire Mode (Shaft): increase firing rate, less reload

Does this augment represent increase in firing rate? If so, this characteristic is not equally shared among these augments.

Alteration_smoky_high_precision_aiming_system.png

Augments:

                High-Precision Aiming System (Smoky): more damage; more reload and projectile speed
                Subcaliber Rounds (Thunder): less reload, more impact; no splash
                Spear (Scorpion): less reload, less aiming, increase projectile speed
                Round Stabilization (Railgun): consistent damage output

This icon is used for various augment each having different functionality. I see little to no consistency here. There are various augments that have a similar icon but have a different projectile in the middle. Even more confusing in my opinion.

Alteration_smoky_supercumulative_rounds.png

Augments:
                Super Cumulative Rounds (Smoky): critical damage increase
                Sledgehammer Rounds (Thunder): damage increase
                Large Caliber Rounds (Railgun): overall damage increase
                Short-Band Emitter: overall damage increase

I can see consistency here. Only remark I have here is that High-Precision Aiming System should replace Super Cumulative Rounds, as this icon fits better than the current one.

Augment_Scorpion_exploding_shells.png
Augments:

                Splash (general)
                Vacuum Shells (Thunder): splash-damage increase
                Explosive Shells & Explosive Warheards (Scorpion): splash damage
                Round Destabilization: critical damage increase

This one makes sense as well (bit doubtful about Vacuum though), but Round Destabilisation having this icon is what it makes it confusing since it does not share any similarities with the other augments.

Specific comments:

Spoiler

> Twins:

                Plasma Accelerators: make little sense, looks a lot like Hammer’s new icon;

                Plasma Turbo Accelerators: acceptable, but since both this and aforementioned augment work similarly it would’ve been better to make the icons somewhat similar.

> Ricochet:

                Plasma Torch: not bad, but is a bit confusing when compared to the previous icon;

                Helios: very different from the old icon, but does represent its functionality.

> Augment icons for Smoky and Thunder are inconsistent: they look similar to each other but have different mechanics.

> Thunder:

                Hyperspeed Shells’: strange choice: icon is the exact same as Autocannon and does not represent what this augment does at all;

                Vacuum Shells': could’ve been better: it does not make clear that splash is drastically increased.*

                * This new icon is representative for a bunch of augments as it indicates splash-damage (?). Thunder default already deals splash damage, so having this icon for                 Vacuum is confusing. Old icon was tons better.

> Scorpion’s augment icons are the most confusing in my opinion:

                Wolfpack: same as Hunter (Striker). To me, the icon represents a fast aiming mechanism: this makes sense for Hunter but not for Wolfpack. Both do have increase in projectile speed, but a different icon would’ve been better to make this clear.

                Swarm: same as Cyclone (Striker). Both augments have different mechanics and concepts so these having the same icon is confusing;

                Tornado: very odd choice. It should have gotten Swarm’s icon instead.

> Railgun:

                Hyperspeed Rounds’: unclear that penetration is an important part of this augment. This icon should've been chosen for Hyperspeed Shells (Thunder) instead.

> Magnum:

                Reinforced Gun Carriage: okish, but same as Tornado (Scorpion) which makes less sense;

                Harpoon: never made any sense in my opinion, but at least it is somewhat the same as the previous icon.

> Shaft:

                Rapid-Fire Mode: makes no sense either, old icon was better.

> Final note: it would be a good idea to give all critical-hit-oriented augments a new icon altogether (Blunderbuss, Super Cumulative Rounds, Round Destabilization), since these share a unique ability that is distinctive from the other augments.

Quickly assembled this. If anyone has to add something, or has a remark on this, then feel free to respond.

I think the new augment icons are far too fussy

The first aid box at Tanki HQ is probably covered in all sorts of stuff that makes it harder to identify instead of looking what it should look like:

Whole thing stinks of micro-management and changing things just for the sake of it

IMHO, the old icons for turrets represent them more than the actual ones and that it was better when we could see the exact level of micro-upgrades of every module in the map at a glance.

good job making augments icons more complicated than they need to be lollll I understand why tanki is doing this tho, making copy pasted augments will be easier in the future and saves the work of designing another icon xd old icons were much more creative. seriously though, who thought its a good idea to remove protection display in tab (you can easilly see how many on the enemy team have protection against you), and make one turret icon into two?

Edit: another thing is that the new colorful icons dont blend in well with the overall dark blue theme of the game imo . plus the turret icon  on the augmets is so tiny its barely visible when you see it in the tab screen

Everything was changed for the sake of mobile version. As I already stated on youtube:

The icons are confusing. Also the sum of all protections of all players doesn't help at all.

The only need to know is what protections the ENEMY is using. So this is totally useless as is.
