"Dead" Tank Physics in Pro Battles

Recommended Posts

Recently Tanki released an update that changed how the "dead" Tanks physics work. They're solid tanks until they disappear (when the tank respawns). This makes them an obstacle when returning a flag, or generally passing through them. Although it may be practical in match-making, I don't believe that it should be a permanent addition. In modes like XP/BP especially in maps like Zone, it can be quite literally impossible to return a flag if the person intentionally puts their tank in a position where it can't be "pushed through". (image 1)

This ruins the "fluidity" of the match and is generally annoying and adds NOTHING to the game.

Suggestion is the either fully disable it in XP/BP mode or allow it to be a toggle-able feature.

Under review
It could be argued that if done on purpose, it makes it a tactic on it own.
Also is it not possible to rock your tank with the shot just enough to hop onto the dead body?

*Note* I genuinely do not know, I am not an XP/BP player, thats why I will let others voice their opinion.

I personally find the 'dead tank' feature to be utterly ridiculous.

I have lost count how many times I have been magically flipped over because of a dead tank.

eyeroll.

Do you want to add me so we can play a game and I can demonstrate to you how absurdly impossible it is to not only get yourself atop the tank but to also then prepare for your oppositions respawn? Additionally, it takes TIME to get atop the dead tank. Time to get atop it might be time that you could use actually getting into a position where you can get a shot off on spawn.

Although I can agree with you it's a tedious update, I'm also a strong believer in this adding new tactics and features to the game. It adds that extra thought process into your everyday playing with wagering where to position your tank to block enemies even after you get destroyed. But on the factor side, I completely understand how it's an 'annoying' update for a major part of the community.

I'm not certain about this, but in my honest opinion, I think it's one of those updates we'd just have to get used to (or at least now for a while, since nothing much has been done about it since it came into the game).

With the amount of campers, bots, and other tankers who don't play the match in the spirit it is supposed to be played (seige, ctf, assault, for example), there are no such things as 'tactics' in tanki, my dude. Lol... tactics.

A "feature" of the game that makes the game tedious, and less fun is not a "tactic". It is something that is holding the game, and the players back from providing and experiencing enjoyment. Albeit you're a helper I don't blame you, players are much more critical of the games aspects because the issues they bring up are experienced often by them, and it is very frustrating.
