If am correct, now every upgradable item will cost only the ''upgrade'' part, without the ''speedup''. In my estimation, this is stupid because kids who can't be able to turn their turrets or who play like bots in MM will be using fully modded drones as they will be available at half price. Imho, to balance this update, i suggest that tanki now includes the speedup price while upgrading upgradable items. Items can't cost peanuts to mod, duh.

I'm confused, do you only play DM? Or do you enjoy having weak teammates with barely upgraded equipment on your team?

Complaining about decrease of item prices puts you in an absolute minority here. But, there's good news for you too! As fully upgrading a modification no longer gives a 100% discount on the next modification, these "bots" you speak of will continue to run around with weak equipment, because they'll either refrain from upgrading at all (since it's a waste of crystals), or they will spend all their free crystals on upgrades and not have enoug to keep up with newly unlocked modifications.

You want to see a wide GS game in your games thanks to people not being able to upgrade even a single combo? It is still difficult for casualists to earn that many crystals.

You can go ahead and check the profiles, many stay suffering, we have seen a great variety of players with 5k-7k GS's at legend rank, this should ease up the bracket and get people closer to the 8k range, to help MM be a bit more balanced.

Tanki didn't increase the cost, if they did players would say it's pay to win. Now tanki devs didn't increase the price but players have problem now

@Maf, @Akame & @PirateSpider, I was trolling a bit but i got mad at this update because I along with many tankers spent millions of crystals on speedups but now with a single update, it's gone, and so have the crystals and time of tankers, forever, without the latter receiving any kind of compensation. Now, be prepared to see 9999 gs players in MM who don't turn their turrets, or who can't figure out that not every team mode is TDM.

Well, the 100% discount for fully upgrading the item has been removed meaning that now if someone were to fully upgrade something, they would have still have to buy the next modification. Meaning they would have spent twice as much as they would if they just waited for the next modification.

These are the current calcs to get a 9999 GS combo, from lt.col, 3'644'000 Crystals, provided you have all slots unlocked and MK7 Base Item or Drone purchased already.
Going to ignore augments, though it gets a bit more pricey in that latter. These are the prices without sales, and yes, the TK cost to upgrade if you don't have crystals.

Ofcourse, sales may numb it down a bit by 50%, the TK cost by up to 75% depending on how it's done, but that's just still 1 combo. I wouldn't necessarily call it cheap.

I too, am one of the many. But yeah, if it helps improve the quality of life, for new players, to catch up to the og's, I am all for this change. Even if crystal earning is at it's still very difficult for the new players that join to commit to a game that continues to have a large equipment gap with it's small playerbase.

First of all, ''cheap'' and ''expensive'' are relative quantities. I would say that the price to get a 9999 gs combo is currently is ''affordable''. Why? Simply because of the numerous ways through which tankers can get crystals. Dailies, weeklies, Ultra conts missions, event missions, mini-games, challenges, increased battle funds during weekends and even the battle fund during normal days rewards us better than before.

With a little bit of patience, tankers can save up their crystals and wait for sales to upgrade and/or buy their equipment, and we all know that sales happen relatively often now. Before the speedup update, tankers had to spend crystals on speedups if they planned on upgrading their equipment by multiple levels. Now they can use this amount of crystals to upgrade their upgradable items even more. Only that tankers must not waste their crystals and use it wisely, such as refraining from changing daily missions etc. If you play regularly, you will get at least one epic alteration for each turret and hull when you open conts and at times, you might even get legendary ones. Remember that drones such as defender, trickster and booster also cost peanuts to buy now. You can't be a ''casualist'', as you said, and expect to have a good garage. Realistically speaking, if you want results, you must make efforts to some degree.
