Why is there a survey to 'make tanki better'?

The developers have shown a complete lack of listening to the players thus far, do they really expect us to believe that they'll listen to the results of a survey?

And lets be honest, if you expect the player base to bail you out with the reasons of why tanki is failing, then you really have no idea about your player base--and THAT is the problem more than anything...

I'm really hoping that they aim to directly get player feedback (as the forums can be disorganized) and actually do something about it this time.

I guess we'll see what happens?

Most games become successful by using players data and statistics. Over the past year or so, there were changes based on this. For example, eliminating drones that players (on a huge scale) did not use much, reducing the speed-up costs to make it easier for players to upgrade and even removing protection at low ranks for new players.

But I am not really sure if the admins will 100% implement changes based on the latest survey. Keep in mind the game also needs to give extra to the buyers at the same time give F2P players better rewards based on time played.

I'm still waiting for someone with direct knowledge of why this survey exists to answer, btw.

It literally tells you in the announcement "to learn more about the players and thus improve the game"

Learning more about the players does not automatically lead to improving the game.

The two aren't necessarily linked.
