Number of Team Players

Now and then I see that more number of players are shown when we press than actual numbers are in the field. For example, when I press tab  I see about 10 players are there. In reality , I barely see 3 or 4 actually playing.

How come it is possible?

Some people may be in garage, some in loading screen with 100% but not loaded in. Some players may be on "pause" by pressing the P button. And rarely you also find some players stuck in a battle (usually when they  get an error or leave as soon as they join). 

In MM if you vote a player in your team who doesn't play but takes up spot, the moderator may remove him/her so another player can join.

I've been saying this for years.

They are:

a) fake tanks placed on that list by tanki until a real tank enters the arena (gives you the illusion that the arena is full, so you won't leave the game)

b) loading/garage tanks that may or may never show up (see a)

c) bots

d) a combination of all of the above

 

I usually press pause for a minute or two when entering a game to let it 'settle' before playing it.
