Its always has server issues. The only difference now is that its gotten alot worse and is actually affecting the playability of the game.

Now with containers getting from 0 to thousands is a formality, I can tell you from personal experience,that is if you you use Brutus (Brutus being "useless" is not an argument since I can get top 3 easily and consisently while using while only having 3 prot slots)

Going from "ZERO" to "THOUSANDS" is not a formality when you first start out. Getting top 3 easily with brutus is only achievable at the very lowest ranks and would become increasingly harder the more you progress through the ranks. I would wager that you would find it nigh on impossible to achieve top 3 with ease (as you stated) at the higher rank brackets, marshal and beyond. Even at the lowest ranks you would probably need a maxed brutus to sustain a top 3 as easily as you claim and a nigh on maxed hull/turret.  Regardless of what you can do at the lower ranks and beyond, getting and then maintaining any relevant amount of supplies takes time for non buyers, especially if starting out from scratch. I could go into greater detail about supplies and everything else in-between that affects game play for most players, but that would take a sizable text wall to complete and explain thoroughly.

I said I have no problem getting top 3 consistently using Brutus while playing on either of my Legend accs

Supplies are very easy to come by and very easy to maintain if you don't use Crisis 24/7 or something like Hyperion, yes Defender Booster Trickster use 5in1 bu it's of one at a time

I agree, getting Top-3 without a maxed drone is pretty impossible, but a maxed Brutus is really cheap and effective enough. I am a Brutus user myself; my go-to tank is Vulcan Hopper; I complete missions with ease. It's really not about the tank.
 

As for supplies, I would say yes, supplies are much harder to accumulate now than they were a year or two ago. Containers have definitely been nerfed. However, 100 supplies in 10 days is nothing at all. You can easily just spend 10 supplies each day while completing missions to claim containers that will very likely replenish those supplies or at least provide you with enough crystals to purchase heavily discounted supplies from the Showcase.

I am highlighting the plausibility of gaining enough supplies at the lowest ranks, not the higher ranks and certainly not legend ranks. Furthermore to say that "using only 10 supplies a day to complete missions which will replenish what you have used" is totally not in line with what most players would use in 1 battle, never mind per day.

Your original complaint was that the game wants players to waste supplies for one Ultra Container.

Why do players keep falling for the con. 

Frankly, there's no con. Everyone else is telling you that you do not necessarily need to waste the supplies for the mission and that if you simply play as you normally do, the mission will complete itself. As you yourself literally stated in your latest comment, players on average use more than the 10 daily supplies required to complete the mission. BUT you don't have to play to complete the mission. In fact, if you are so against the mission, just ignore it entirely and continue playing as normal. The mission's existence shouldn't affect your gameplay negatively. It's quite simply a nice bonus that came with the event.

I haven't played the game for a while, but if I remember correctly, special missions are not available for the lowest ranks. I would suppose there is plenty of time for new RTL accounts to save enough crystals to fund their daily supplies from the Showcase. But even then, the missions are not something you MUST complete. Your daily gaming is unaffected.

If you are complaining about the general difficulty in obtaining supplies, however, I believe that would be going off topic. I did agree that supplies are harder to obtain today than a few years back.

Still, if we are on the topic of wasting supplies for an Ultra Container mission, no, the average player would not be consuming supplies for no good reason.

This is actually quite true not gonna lie. When I first started, premium was available in the containers. I ended up getting like 30 days total, and ranked up to legend super fast using mk5-mk6 equipments. Then came the pain of saving crystals, especially after my premium ran out, and tanki removed it from container. Another problem with ranking up too fast is the rewards ranking offers now; a container id not enough to see you through the newer levels of equipment. Indeed I’m not sure 30 containers will in ranks above brigadier.

To be honest I really doubt that, it is impossible basically to play the game without supplies, and I usually use 30 of each in battles unless I’m watching my speed boosts so as not to run out (using trickster was fun but nightmarish when you go from 10k to 8k speed boosts in 5 days; I had a horrible time using Brutus only, and never using speed boost to buy back my supplies ) if I play like i did  last year, i could probably do it well within the limit.
