declined Ideas for mapmaking

It has been a long time since we had a new map, and the map editor no longer does work as stated in the wiki, I personally think it is time for a new editor, To let players display their creativity and ideas, Might even do an event every couple of months where the best map submitted in that period gets added to the game for a special event or permanently if the players ended up liking it.

This would be cool to have, but it won't be done for a few reasons:

• A map maker using the old style is pointless to create again, because devs do not plan on adding any more maps in the old style (i.e. not remastered).
• It would be extremely difficult to create a user-friendly tool for making remastered maps.
• The demand for such a tool is so low, that there it no way this task can be prioritised when there are dozens of more important things to be done.

Making a user-friendly tool will be helpful for the official mapmakers to make the other remastered map too, Tho What you said about the demand is actually valid, But i think this idea should be postponed and not entirely rejected

I've been in this game since 2011, and I remember devs saying that the old mapmaking tool will be improved, and they plan to have a while system for UGC, like uploading and rating custom maps, etc. 

None of that happened, and that was when creating a map-making tool like that would have been fairly straightforward. Now that the maps are more complicated, creating such a tool would take even more resources. At the same time, there's fewer spare resources available because the game is not generating as much revenue. So if they "planned" to add a proper map maker in the older version and didn't get around to doing it in 10+ years, there's no way they're ever gonna do it with this new version.

I guess? But what's the point of textures without the models? And even if they release the models, what's the point of letting players use them if they can't integrate their custom maps into the game.

you can use any 3d software for build any map, for example blender o unity or unreal engine...etc. if its only for the idea, the textures of the game doesn't matter you can use any textures ( real life o anything ) if it's accepted the devs will use thier textures
