This is a list of all the abbreviations commonly used in texting language and chat rooms. If I missed some (which I will) feel free to add them, though don't post abbrevs. for bad words (yes, I know there are quite a few, but nobody needs to learn them).

 

 

 

Single Letters:

 

u = you

 

b = be

 

c = see

 

k or kk = okay

 

r = are

 

y = why

 

v = we

 

o = oh

 

d or da = the

 

@ = at

 

 

Numbers:

 

1 = won

 

2 = "to" or "too"

 

4 = for

 

8 = ate

 

Digits and Letters:

 

w8 = wait

 

gr8 = great

 

g8 = gate

 

2mro = tomorrow

 

b4 = before

 

4get = forget

 

Combinations:

 

xqs = excuse (as in excuse me)

 

np = no problem

 

ur = "you are" or "your"

 

ez = easy

 

cu = see you

 

no1 = no one

 

ne1 = anyone

 

njoy = enjoy

 

cya = see ya

 

wab = wait a bit

 

 

Words or Phrases:

 

rofl = rolling on the floor in laughter

 

imho = in my humble opinion

 

wtf = well..... whatever

 

tomoz = tomorrow

 

wuu2 = what you up to?

 

sup = what's up

 

brb = be right back

 

idk = I don't know

 

ikr = I know right?

 

asap = as soon as possible

 

afaik = as far as I know

 

gtg or g2g = got to go

 

ftw = for the win

 

fyi = for your information

 

jk = just kidding

 

sry = sorry

this might be a little belated but thanks for the russian tla's i saw meats post too before. but i meant is there any way we can write tla's using a english keyboard? that they can understand in russian, since we cant write their letters, sorry i know youre not russian cj but maybe pin4er or someone can tell me. or explain if its not possible lol.

Here is a link to a free online Russian keyboard. You just type in English, and Russian letters will come up instead of English. I hope it helps. :-) I suppose you could type in here, then copy and paste it onto the chat.
