Well, "M" stands for two things, the first one is ''mode'' and the second one is ''modification''.

Level just doesn't fit,

M for Model,Modification is better because you start off with it, You upgrade it which isnt a new level (which is a completely differnt stage)

The word Mark, followed by number, is a common way to name a product in a production line, similar in meaning to "Type". It is often abbreviated as Mk or M. Because a mark is often made to measure height or progress, by metonymy the word mark is used to mean a level of development, and level designations like "Mark I", "Mark II" etc. come to be used as proper names.

What does the M stand for?

It could be L1, L1, L2, L3. Instead of M0, M1, M2, M3...

"L" stands for "LEVEL".

Why M?

Modification 1

Modification 2

Modification 3

Or

Mode 1

Mode 2

Mode 3
