Osama Bin Laden's Death: The Beginning of the End of Tyranny

 Share

Recommended Posts

Earlier today(Or yesterday), a group of American commandos bravely entered and fought at one of Osama's many hideouts. Many of his followers, including himself, were killed. Not a single person on the offensive was killed, however.

Though some may grieve this "man"'s death, but most of the world rejoices with happiness, knowing that an evil has been put to rest.

Let us, the people of the world, remember this day.

Sadly, I do not believe that this is the "Beginning of the End of Tyranny." While I am quite pleased that he is dead, and believe that many more should join him, his death will not cripple the cowards who use terrorism against the innocent.

Well, someone would have eventually posted something about this. Although I can try to understand and respect your opinion about this matter of which you are entitled to I can't help to notice that you just broke one of the most delicate rule of this game.

- Illegal actions or inciting other players to such actions (actions that are prohibited by the Russian Federation legislation, including drugs, terrorism, revolution; racial, sexual, ethnical and any forms of discrimination).

- Political propaganda or advertising in any form.

If you ask me, this game and the community around it was meant to be outside the delicate political and religious issues that governs our world. I can tell by the way you wrote those words that you are passionate about the subject though I have a slight feeling that you don't actually understand it completely. Is not a matter of who's wrong or right. I can agree or disagree with you, but we both agreed with the Terms and Conditions and The Rules of this game when we enrolled here.

Do not get me wrong. I did not meant to offend you at all. If by any chance you feel like it, I humbly and sincerely apologize to you. I can imagine the grief of the ones who lost someone dear back then. I also found Obama's speech as a memorable milestone for the future to come but what I'm trying to say here is that this is a very delicate problem and discussing it here might actually offend some people while others are pleased by doing so.

P.S.

I am not Arab nor American and I am not related with any of those in any form or way. I just think that this is the right attitude in this case.

God bless America. I am in fear of another terrorist attack in revenge

While it may be true that attacks by extremists could increase in response to this, inaction due to fear of retaliation should never be considered. After all, that is the premise that keeps bullies active in the playground. Only through consistent, rapid and decisive action in response to events will keep such cowards at bay.

Well, thank goodness this is neither "illegal actions" nor "political propaganda or advertising." Therefore, commenting about current world affairs in quite acceptable.

Noble, I think we both know what I was trying to say.

Actually...no. You said that this should be off-limits because of the rules. I do not see this topic as violating the rules that you referenced.

Ok. I give up. You are right.

As one columnist wrote (I will paraphrase):

worse terrorist attack before 9/11 was by done by an American citizen, so nobody will be safe from it for a long time. Regardless if Osama is killed or not, and regardless if next one is done by Al Kaida or not.

Thx. I did not meant to say that your post should be censored in any way, just expressed my thoughts about this matter while trying to be dispassionate about it, that's all.

You are afraid of offending someone who supports Bin Laden?? What has the world come to?

So I guess that includes me also. I'm mesmerized ... Would you please be kind and show me where in my post have I said anything about "offending someone who supports Bin Laden"?

There is nothing in this world that could justify killing innocent people.

Indeed ... "what has the world come to?"

My comment did not indicate you, fsdfsds. Tommy60 spoke of apologizing if anyone was offended. The only people who could be offended by talking of Bin Laden's death would be his supporters, given that Tommy's post was factual and and noninflammatory. And if he does have any supporters who read this, then I will tell them politely to go party with Bin Laden.
