when will it start, i thought it was meant to start at the end of april but i see it says early may, that is the time of year now

In the following 10 days or so, there will be open testing started.

 

When we first played tankionline v1.0 we were lucky to play the first 3D flash MMO. Now for testing v2.0, we are lucky to be testing the first 3D game ever created on molehill API! There will be instructions posted on the main page about open testing, but generally you will have to have Flash player incubator installed.

 

Just in case you don't care about what molehill is, look at the detailed v2.0 turret and compare it to the older v2.0 image at the bottom.

 

in open testing you'll have a nullified account to play with, and after open testing finished on June 4th, again you will exit open testing phase with a clean garage!

 

The process of moving your account from v1.0 to version 2.0 will be announced subsequently.

It will not create problems, it's li,e another flash player like debugger, but more complicated

You could your flash player incubator builds for other purposes, but there is a annoying trademark on bottom right side of the page.

Generally speaking, Incubator is an Adobe program for developers under the Adobe Labs umbrella. Flash Payer Incubator is part of it. Flash Player Incubator is nothing more than the next major version of Flash Player, that's version 11. One of the key features in it will be this:

Flash Player versions release always have backward compatibility meaning that what worked in version 10.2 will do the same in version 11 but by my knowledge FP 11 it is still in some sort of "beta" (because the Incubator program is supposed to be a little different from a normal beta stage) meaning that it may still have some bugs. Still, you can download it and use it under the same circumstances as a regular Flash Player. For example, I remember I did a few months ago and on Windows 7/64 bits and Linux Ubuntu I got funny textures on tanks and map walls in Tanki :mrgreen: but other than that, the game was the same.

 

So to answer your question, yes it may affect other flash sites, depending on what "the other flash sites" are suppose to do, but I doubt you will see that often. Of course, you can use multiple FP versions at the same time by installing the Incubator version for Firefox&Co. and the regular FP for Internet Explorer or you can use plugins for Firefox like Flash Switcher that allows you to switch between flash versions in the same browser...and so on...multiple options here. I just can't wait for it. Just look at the level of detail in the turret posted by mehdadoo...that's big for Flash Player. :)

I believe so looking at the flash player, but im not sure, i would like to know that as well as this question, will thier be any pc requirements for running 2.0 smoothly? processor ram videocard ect ect.
