Skype problem~

Some folks here are discussing the same problem as yours and, so far, they concluded that:

 

1. Even if you don't use Internet Explorer for browsing Skype still uses the IE rendering engine. You must reset IE settings even if you don't use it. Internet Explorer -> Internet Options -> Connection -> Click the button on the very bottom (LAN settings) -> UNclick all -> restart IE.

2. You must check if I.E. is set to ON line mode (Work off-line option).

3. As usual, if you are behind a firewall you must allow Skype ports access and so on.

4. Check your antivirus software settings if you have one installed.
