Given that the Open Test of 2.0 has been so problematic, Tankionline does not appear to have an operational format. I would much prefer that they continue to refine the program through testing instead of releasing a sub-standard version. I do not want to hear the excessive whining that will ensue.

Agree to you both. 2.0 should be sorting out the tiny lags and glitches now, and not bringing out new weapons, tanks, and maps... I personally long for 2.0 to come out soon, but i know in my heart, that if it does come out on June 4th (not 6th btw), I very much doubt that it would be, if even better, much of an improvement to 1.0 apart from the in-game graphics. I'd love 2.0 to come out soon, but i just dont think its gonna be great if thats going to happen...

 

That, of course, means, that my buy of hohlama might not turn out so useful. I was planning for 2.0 to come out on June 4th so bought hohlama, before the refund when 2.0 is officially released. But if the refund is delayed another while, I'll have to stay with hohlama, and not be able to get m2 isida for a while, which is was planning to get in 2.0... :? dont matter though i guess...

From what I've seen the latter is not close to Beta stage. I understand the enthusiasm, but IMO Tnaki 2.0 needs at least several months additional development , serous Beta closed functional and stress tests and continuous Open beta tests. So I estimate at least 3 more months, most probably the game to be ready for release at the autumn.

I dont like 2.0 for now alot, Prices are over Priced,Thunders M3 Damage can go up to 1k! Dictators Hp Peaked at 5k,And everything is in russian, I know probably most of this will change but right now, i'm liking the current tanki better

And maps are much much brighter. Strange, but it just occurred to me that one cannot do brightness/gamma correction to any version of Tanki, but shades and darkness prevail at Tanki 2.0. Things that we get for granted at all other FPS games are not available at this server-side only game. Playing in the dark is not among my likings. Fumbling with the hardware settings of my monitor and damaging it by over-boosting brightness and gamma - either. I hope there are at least a couple of bright maps to play.

They have worked hard on the other updates.. But this is a MAJOR update... They also have to switch the servers around and stuff man Phew hard work..

I love 2.0, except for the fact that it is clearly not going to be ready by June the 4th.

 

-The prices are a lot higher: but that is only because crystals' value has deteriorated. You know the amount of cash you have in v2.tankionline.com? That is exactly the same amount as you will have in true 2.0 as far as I can tell. After all, me and hogree got waay different numbers (100,000 and 40,000) and the only explanation for this is the simple fact that because I have more wealth in 1.0, I get more cash in v2.tankionline.com and thus 2.0

 

I don't see the problem in tanks/weapons (dictator>viking and railgun>thunder etc.) either. Just change your prejudices that dictator is weaker than viking. And then it'll all be ok.

 

-Maps a lot brighter in 1.0? Only if you select night mode for 2.0.... otherwise it's very similar.

 

-Sleeker and Cool in 1.0? Each one to his own, but I think that that is insanely dumb.

I took a cursory peek at 2.0. Can't read Russian, so I did little, but I did note that the play screen is substantially smaller and the chat box substantially larger. This concerns me. I use a 30" monitor favoring the big view. I used to enjoy Dark Orbit, but they "versioned up," dramatically complicated the game (To enhance profit quite understandably.) and made it so I had to play small screen. I could do nothing to increase the size of the play screen. I didn't care for it, so I left three Golis,, two built to "elite" status, parked. (Building three accounts taught me the foolishness of multiple accounts. Expensive, limiting and time consuming mark three, hence I have one account on Tanki, as it will remain.)

 

Everyone has preferences. Some will be met. Some will not. Wise to assess the game when it's released. I enjoy it presently; I hope to enjoy it in 2.0. I hold faith in the Tanki developers. I've found Tanki personnel to be smart, congenial, accommodating and quite creative. I leave my trust with them.

There still is time, and trust me, it will be good

The stability of the overall 2.0 has increased greatly in less then a week

But, it concerns me that finding battles are going to be harder (only about 10-15 each page)
