Guide #5 Farm

Hey guys, iNubCake here with another little guide, this time on the map Farm.

This is a small sized map, but packed with action. This map I played hours of during the holidays and it levelled me up a lot. It consists of 2 small rectangles with a wall joining them and a gap near the middle. This map is pretty fast and a lot of things can happen at once. Like most maps it can be good for rushing and camping. There are lots of obstacles and even a trick that I found out (you probably already know it).

With the one above you tend to want to stick out shoot and get back in.

Suggested Armours and Weapons-

Like most maps, anything will work here. But this map you can make your combinations as outrageous as you like and it probably won’t affect your game play too much. You can put a massive HP but slower than a turtle hull underneath your short ranged Isida/Firebird or Freeze and it would probably be worth it. Since the map is so small and basic you might as well sacrifice a bit of speed for almost double the HP.

Having said that if you can add a mammoth to the bottom of anything on this map, and you generally don’t want to use a fast low HP hull. (I’m probably going to get so many bad comments for that). Go for lots of HP or one of the medium builds, Dictator or Viking.

All weapons work on this map and the short range ones are more common especially Freeze, with its high damage and slowing down effect it seems to be popular of this map. Personally I use Ricochet because of this little trick I found and the fact that you can hit almost every on the map.

With the above picture, it will allow you to hit almost everywhere on the left side of the blocks you are shooting at (only works with Ricochet).

But Freeze is most recommended because as showed above, high damage + slowing down effect gives the enemies a very hard time. Ever tried capturing a flag with 4 Freezes on your tail? Not fun.

But high damage slow reload guns also work, stick to the wall and wait. As soon as an enemy comes into your half shoot, most of the time they will die, if not your team can finish them.

 

Talking Tactics-

There isn’t that much to talk about on this map, but generally don’t go driving around in their spawn hoping to get kills, you will probably get killed (unless you drug a lot). Stick to the walls, or the border of the map. This gives you more of a chance against those shorter range weapons. But watch out for the occasional sniper. If you’re going for the flag, try to time your rushes. You don’t want to be halfway inside their base while they all spawn. Try time it so you get in just as they almost reach your flag. Hopefully your team will return your flag just as you run into your half.

 

Drops-

Pretty sure everything drops in the map, just its scattered everywhere. But most of the crystals drop on Blue Side.

just have a few things to add, thunder and railgun are really good on the blue side, not for getting the flag, but for defending and gettting loads of kills, cause the blue side is a lot bigger and more open there are many spaces for you to shoot the other side, if the other side only has isida and freezes, you can rack up kills very quickly, esp if your team has to meduim range weapons. I have seen an m2 railer a m2 twins and an m2 thunder, have ratios of 5 on the blue side against m2-3 freeze and isida, so i would say a ranged weapon is very important to both sides.

 

also you didnt meantion the way both sides can capture the flag, it is sometimes easier esp if both teams are good. i dont have a screen shot but by driving of the egde and dropping the flag, you or your team mates can pick it up on the other side

I agree with GO_IRELAND in most points. For me, on either team, the best weapon in farm is not my m3 firebird or my m3 twins but my m3 railgun, maybe even for capturing the flag.

 

You should have also mentioned dropping off the edge and passing to team-mates.

 

And more crystals drop on the blue side? In all of my experience of farm (and it is a lot), I have not noticed this.

blue side lots of obstacles but chance when trying to run away from a firebird u might get stuck somewhere

 

red side the side were u can get slaughtered or take over the map
