the worry for me is this. the hack can be bought online very easily. you would assume that the first think the devs here at tanki did to combat the hacks was to acquire the hack program and look at the way it works, what code it uses etc. after all its a program that interacts with the tanki engine. so as the hacks are still happening and more and more maps get added to the hack engine, the question is that the devs here have had at least a week to crack the hack engine and patch the code that has compromised the the tanki game engine. does this mean that the hacker has cracked the tanki code, yet the devs here cant crack the hackers code? i think so. this could take a while to fix i fear.

 

until this problem gets fixed something must be done to combat the hackers in the game. mods are overwhelmed at the moment. the most they can do is ban a hacker from chat and boot them from the server! all the hackers do is log back on and join another game. we need more mods, mods need to be able to enter games invisibly and then mods need to be able to IP ban the hackers. a report button i needed also so that mods know what games the hackers are in.

 

at the moment the best thing to do is to make games as high a rank as possible, say WO5 min. most (yes not all) of the hackers are on noob accounts. unfortunate for genuine noob players, but if you are of a high enough rank, start creating games they cant join.

mods/ admins since this hacking thing is escalating wouldn't it be a good idea to give evryone the opportunity too hack?

since normal players cant beat hackers annymore, they know how the program works and have taken out the weak spot :(

it is impossible too play, 45 out of the 50 maps i played tooday were hacked!

 

get a solution or give the rest the opportunity too hack too because i dont like getting shot!

What I cant understand is why people keep playing when the hacker joins.

You won't win. Just leave, dont increase the battle fund by playing.

 

Tried a few times to create a battle on silence for high ranks, only one or two joined. We all got bored and left.

Meanwhile other silence maps were full and you could see they had cheats in as the top scoring player was a noob account.

 

Anyhoo game is now pointless.

Huh, the evidence is stacked against you Hotwheel. At this point I don't know why you are allowed to continue playing this game without the removal of all of your crystals, weapons and rank.

its not good that tanki was hacked and yes it is possible that hotwheels is the cause (through i still havn't seen hard evidence)

 

theis could have happend to annyone.

(i found 25 requests just like the one of hotwheel)

 

the point is tanki should be hacker proof.

the brightside of hacking happoning big time is that tanki staf sees it and will (hopefully this month) stop it.

Yeah, I have seen some hackers. Someone was underground on a FKIII. Banning people won't work. More and more hackers can join or more players can start hacking. I think Tanki should be shut down before everything gets hacked and Tanki is ruined. This is just what I think. Too many problems are occurring and soon it will make Tanki impossible to play with the hacker count increasing.

It may or may not have been Hotwheel, but evidence exists that he has a despicable side that should not be welcome in a game that is supposed to encourage fair play. All 15 of people who posted requests for hacks should be held to the same standard. Push them back down to the bottom rung, and make them work back up again.

 

Unless banning is the punishment, starting at zero is the only other punishment I can think of that would discourage cheating in any form, that includes someones INTENT to cheat as those are crimes that are also punishable. Hacking should be met with complete and total IP ban, cheating or the intent to cheat should be met with starting over at the beginning.

 

Easy enough if you ask me.

that tanki was gonna be targetted too inventually. hotwheels just made it happen a little earlyer.

but the problem is not who started spreading.., the creator of the hacks probably jused tanki too but wont hack.

 

I agree with you on the fact that Tanki would be hacked sooner or later. And yes, who started spreading might not be the cause of all this hacking, but the spreading itself is!! And that is what loads of people are doing at the moment. Just check out the Forum, nearly all recent topics are about hacking, reporting hackers, Silence missing and such. Just imagine you are new to the game, and you are checking out the forum before play... what does that make you think? Or if you are a regular player, that has never seen a hacker in the game...

 

The point I'm trying to make is, that whenever things are huge in the news copycats will soon follow. If you ask me, thats what is happening as we speak. We shouldn't make a new topic about every other hacking related issue... 1 Topic is more then enough, and you shouldn't need to be an admin to see that.

 

My 2 suggestions for the admins are:

 

1. Delete all the hacking related topics and just have one (think of the possible copycats and image of Tanki)

2. In the one topic left about hacking, explain how to report hackers. Perhaps an upload for pictures with proof would be nice!! An upload that only admins can see, it won't polute the forum and doesn't look as much as a hype as it does now.

 

Save Tanki before more damage can be done, if its not to late. Anyway, I have some print sceens too, but have no idea what to do with them....

Send those images in a pm to a moderatore your choice, they will deal with the cheater.

 

That is the right and best way to do it.

I can guess that they are the ones with an avatar, but there are many different avatars. Are they all moderators?

 

Plus, sending a PM is fine with me but doesn't allow attachments :( That way its impossible to send those print sceens. Like I said earlier a upload would be nice...
