Great idea for 1st update of Tanki 2.0 mods please comment!

When tanki 2.0 comes out, there should be a few new ways to get points and here they are-

 

KA (Kill Assist): When Tank A does 50% or more damage to tank C and tank B destroys C, all awarded points for the kill go to B and an extra 25% of the points go to A.

 

Air hit: Tank A gets a set amount of extra points for shooting and killing tank B while Tank B is airborne.

 

Teamwork points: When Tank A and Tank B have traveled X Yards without being more than Y yards from each other. Gives both a set amount of points.

 

5 Kill bonus: For every 5 kills without a death between, tank A gets a set amount of points!

 

Flag assist: Tank A takes the enemy flag and drives over X yards (varies by map, but should be at least 75% of the way across the map) They lose the flag and tank B gets it and captures it. Tank B gets full credit while tank A gets 20%.

 

Double shot: Tank A uses a rail gun and kills tank B and C with one shot. Tank A gets the credit for the kills plus a set amount of points for doing it in one shot. (2 kills 1 shot-10 pts, 3 kills 1 shot-30 pts etc)

 

 

And that's all!

Let me know if these are good ideas or at least possible, I like the first one, as it is a compromise for kill stealing!

I agree it is one of the lesser ones but I did take my time and think it over. If it said A and B have to be within x yards for Y MINUTES then just sitting there would get you points

air hit is lame since we dont maunal aim

when someone jumps we point are gun straight not up and down, the bullet goes up it self u dont

so there would be people camping behind cover in monte carlo just shooting when someone try's to jump over and getting extra points

there would be no skill in air hit

PROVE ME WRONG (dont.care.if.u.dont.understand.that.aswell.as.this:P)

#1 - Auto-Aim is not THAT good.

 

#2 - The teamwork 1 is (no offense) STUPID.

I agree it is one of the lesser ones but I did take my time and think it over. If it said A and B have to be within x yards for Y MINUTES then just sitting there would get you points - what he said.

Thanks for the comments, I am going to put in flag assist and maybe another if I can think of one.

Also the air hit I like because it is kinda hard to do it unless you have a melee weapon like isida or just using twins. I made it because I was in a battle a few minutes before (knox III) and as someone jumped for the flag I hit them in mid air and they barrel rolled like 3 times really quickly and landed upside-down.

aint gonnan work. the other two would be cool.

i would like too find them in the game :D

(IMO) Teamwork assist is really stupid. I mean, most of the time people are just moving in the same direction, not "covering each other" or something like that (isidas being the exception). Also, I'm pretty sure there is Flag Assist. I've gotten it before, if I'm not mistaken. I don't really like kill assist either, because it takes out an element of fun from the game; i.e., sure, you're angry if someone steals your kills, but isn't it fun to steal someone else's? The airborne thing is OK, I guess, nothing really wrong with it, but the five kills in a row makes druggers even happier than they are already. Double Shot seems to be OK as well.

Noobs will never rank up.

If you shoot someone like that they already have the chance to flip. if this feature is implemented M3 Hornets will never survive a Railgun. :(

Noobs will stay near pro players thus making the games more unbalanced as if they aren't unbalanced right now.

Actually this would encourage camping and a team full of campers always looses as we learned when Shaft reached us. Although good point. :mrgreen:

Already happens but if you weren't able to capture the flag then most probably you don't deserve 100% or even 75% of the points. You already get a percentage of the points that you are supposed to get and to make the game balanced.

You already stole 2 kills. What else do you want?

Old idea, has been discussed at least 10 times. Won't happen, this is a shooter game and all shooters give you a frag after you, well, frag.

 

Air hit: Tank A gets a set amount of extra points for shooting and killing tank B while Tank B is airborne.

 

Why? Is an airborn tank harder to hit?

Same as above, why should they receive more points?

This at least has some ground under it. Similar things are planned for 2.0, although I doubt that exp points will be a prize in this situation

This already exists, the flag points are split between the player that picks it up, the player(s) that drive it and the player that delivers it. Without overinflating the points too.

This will be done in 2.0, although once again I doubt that extra points will be used as a prize.

Kill stealing is a natural part of any multiplayer shooter game, get used to it. It is here to stay. As far as the other suggestions go, they will all inflate the amount of points gained by players. As a result, you will see battles where people ride around in pairs behind a wall instead of trying to go get the flag. In distorts the purpose of the game and leads to quicker leveling, neither of which are desired effects.
