erm I wont make a video because i tested the new shaft but due to error in performance tables i got the refund again. erm you wont waste a shot if you overpower the charge bar. non-scope mode sucks due to a m0 thunder reload but m3 smoky damage. scope is full screen and slowly zooms onto target so you can see whats happening elsewhere but you still cant move your tank in this mode. turning speed really sucks i think its worst then the old one. Lacks the OHKO potential of old shaft but the damage is traded for practicality so you could play on more maps in more situations better. Its just a more damaging railgun with slower reload with no ability to shoot on the move.

 

EDIT: I wont advice you to buy it unless you plan to go for m2 and have other moneymaking weapons.

This shaft is much much worse than the previous one. I have used both m3 and the new shaft is nowhere close to the previous one.

 

Cons:

1. You have to wait like 3 seconds for the next charge/shot.

2. Slower recharge as compared to the previous one. Reduced power.

3. It stops moving at full recharge.

 

Pros:

1. Minimal power shots without zooming.

2. You can keep it at full recharge for as much time as you want.

 

To sum it up, don't waste your crystals on Shaft. Thunder is a much potent weapon for long range than shaft. Thankfully, they made some error is the new shaft's description and I got my crystals back. Not buying shaft again!!!!

I only used Shaft M0, but here's why I like new shaft better:

 

1) Peripheral vision. Being able to see everything outside your scope is huge tactical improvement because now you can see the strategy of the other team and plan where to point your gun next, and not be blindsided by tanks sneaking up on you.

 

2) No overheating. Yes, gun turns slow when fully charged, but you are guaranteed 1 shot kill of any player except for high ranked mammoth. For long distance sniping, this is good tradeoff. Old shaft you would wait too long, overheat, and miss your shot. Now you have 2nd chance to destroy the tank behind the one you missed.

 

These two things improved my D/L ratio. Averaged about 60/6 in Old Silence and new Highway maps yesterday. A good shaft player with mammoth armor will force 3-4 tanks on the other team to fight 1 of you, leaving the rest of your team free to go take the flag. :-)

 

So play with new shaft a little more. I think you will like!

BEFORE: Shaft sux cuz it has scope vision and ridiculous damage and slow charge speed. Bad.

AFTER: Shaft is nerfed and has ability to shoot without scope, but at minimal power. It sucked more+Shaft is now an all around type weapon. harhar.

 

Summary:

BEFORE: sucks.

AFTER: sucks even more. your glad u had ur crystals refunded.

^^^ i generally get around 2.5-3.00 kill death rate with out even moving from spawn spot...if i move to a good camp spot i get 7.00 or higher...with new one...with old one...i got MAYBE 1.34 was best i think...VOTE NEW
