see your health bar while you shoot

It already has this function. It is the bar on top of your weapon's charging / power bar.

Shaft is bad in my opinion. M3 rail is supposedly a bad QCB weapon, so I presume shaft is worse. A freeze mounted on top a hornet or m2 viking could run circles around a shaft. Even m3 does not rotate fast enough.

did u look at my pic in the first? page i using m0

Yeah I looked at it.

Of course what we don't know is

1. Were you playing noobs prior to everyone leaving the game? Considering the highest score on red is lower than yours and the total death count doesn't match your kill count we have very little information to indicate that you were playing an upper tier of player.

2. Can you replicate that score on the Red Team?

---------------------

As far as question #2 is concerned, I am pretty sure the answer is NO. :P

Pictures can be deceiving, and yours leaves out quite a bit of data.

Hello Tanki team,

I love the new shaft gun but I have some complaints about it.

Firstly, you cannot use it to shoot the ground to right yourself if you fall and land on your side - bad - this should be changed.

Secondly, why should you have to wait for weapon to 'power down' as you can't shoot until it powers up, - to ceartain point as well?! - isn't that penalty enough? If you are effectively going to mobilise the tank in this way you should make the tank virtually cloaked or totally cloaked or invisible for the period. Another solution would be as soon as you let go of the space bar you're free to move and see normally.

Thirdly there should be maps made that are much more sniper 'shaft gun' friendly.

Fourthly there should more opportunity for shaft gunners to hide in bushes, so for example if you have a shaft gun and it goes over a small bush maybe the bush grows bigger for it.

Lastly perhaps of instead of invisibility shaft gunners paint work reflects it's environment more? Snipers in the army do this by putting bushes on their head and camouflaging their weapons.

OK, really lastly, if you don't action any of the aboe then you should make the weapon much more damaging for all the down sides that it currently has, you can barely use it in any normal game currently.

Thanks for a great game generally though!

James

Also, to add on to my reservations above, some guns and techniques allow you to get on to a ledge , for instance ricochet, thunder, sometimes rail somersaults etc

With this gun - shaft - you really need to get to those places and yet it cannot help you get to them at all which is why I suggested some of the other solutions above.

Shaft is underpowered. Period.

I played a game using railgun m1 and dictator m1 and i killed it more than it killed me. This gun should come out at Recruit and 20 crystals if you ask me because it is so easily beaten. By the time it had me in its sights ( i was behind him) I had fired 3 railgun shots and my gun was already almost done charging a fourth shot.

Suggestion for the makers of Tanki: Increase the turn rate a bit and reduce the charging time. Also, reduce the damage: lets say 50-96 damage on M0. AND MAKE IT SO THAT PLAYERS CAN EASILY SWITCH BETWEEN STANDARD AIMING TECHNIQUES (point and shoot) AND THE "SCOPE"

I think if the grad/sec were this it would be better:

M0 48.0

M1 56.0

M2 69.0

M3 87.0

Anyone else agree? :)

LOL You're saying it should turn slower and slower for each "M"? Then im sticking with m1 if your plan gets implemented.

69 turns faster then 56... simple math... and this is alot faster then what it is now... don't get your drift

Why do all communities complain so much about everything? I don't think teh gun is awesome, I like it's design most of all (although I think the poly count on it is through the roof) - it just looks badass.

I like that it adds variety to the game. It can be used in team games, I liked how it performed in Serpuhov (was targeted, works well). Shaft is a very special gun, for hard core snipers, maybe too extremely different from all others. But, hey it's here, there may be more guns to hope for and more new things coming... it arrived in June, that is important.

Honestly. I can't think of a dumber question than this. They asked us for feedback, so people that are dissatisfied with the gun are voicing there opinions.

THAT is why the community is complaining.

At least look at the thread topic before posting such a completely stupid question.

Those who think it's terrible clearly just suck with it. Go use Twins or something if you can't handle shaft. I personally think Shaft is a very good gun if used properly. With an M0 Shaft and M1 Mammoth, I was getting kills faster than anyone else in the battle (I was second lowest rank there). Just proving my point that Shaft doesn't "suck". One main strategy I noticed with shaft is that shooting stronger, slower (charging more) gives a much higher damage per minute. Just like with all weapons, (Besides Twins) Timing is important, Shaft just has a different way of timing. One last thing: If you just go play "Ping-Pong" or "Island" with shaft and then immediately come here and start complaining about it... well then your a sad person.

I don't think you proved anything. Just because one person does well with a gun in a battle doesn't necessarily mean that it is a superior gun. Your logic is flawed to say the least.

exactly. if it doesn't suit ur playing styles, thats ur problem. for the REAL snipers out there, this is a great weapon, instead of trying to eye when to fire ur hard to aim rail, u can actually aim with the sights. true that there are drawbacks, but with the fully-charged OHKO capabilities, it suits those who are dedicated to sniping. and really guys, use ur brain. a long-range weapon is NOT gonna work in a small map, either change ur weapon or just choose a different map to play on. its a powerful weapon in the right hands, and if you aren't good at using it, use the weapon u were using before it came out!

I proved that if I can use it effectively, then anyone else can use it just as well, or even better. If they have the skill to support the weapon. I'd rather have shaft the way it is now, instead of an overpowered version that anyone can use, weather they have skill or not. (Like twins)

I proposed changes that would be balanced, i think that makes shaft a more productive weapon but adding in some balance in taking away kill power. It still has massive drawbacks at this point

If the most HP an undrugged mammoth m3 can have is 200, what's the point of having the max damage of shaft m3 be 250? Ridiculous! 500 hp for 1 drugged shot is insanity in a box.
