As long as I have been a member on Tanki, I have noticed that at least one thing remains constant during battles: Swearing. In every type of battle, I always see swear words in the chat box! And I think: Where are the moderators? And then I think: What moderators? There are only 5 or so that are English!

 

 

It makes my blood boil when I see people, without thought, use slander and swear words in their daily vocabulary! Administrators and Moderators, in my opinion, are too few in number!

Anyways, I answered no, because it is rare I see swearing. I don't know what the russians are saying but there is only one badmouth for every 8 games or so. It's not that bad at least for me. Maybe you are at a rank where others get too serious about the game?

LoL, if you swear, you have to stop your tank... then a bad wolf jumps on with freeze /twins/ rail/ isida/ rico/ thunder ecc... and u are dead.

 

I think swearing has its cons too :lol:

 

Btw, everytime i see some bad word (cyka or somthing) the one who says it 90% has been badly owned... so i always lol when someone swears :-)

I speak Russian,English,Hebrew and now studying Arabic, and there many many many swearing (you cant find many player that speak aswell english and russian :) )

I agree. This is ridiculous. We could use some more moderators. Some people have about every other word that comes out of their mouth as a swear word! It is disgusting!

Not necessarily.

 

Russians and Americans have somewhat diverse cultures, to say the least. With each culture comes its own traditions, customs, and sadly, derogatory slang. What I am saying is that new swear words will develop from every culture on Earth, and your proposed "boterators" will have a very hard time identifying every new word that degrades someone in some profound way. Not only is it illogical, it is almost impossible.

 

While humans, on the other hand, can quickly adapt; and with resources such as Google, we can easily figure what any word means, fictional or not.

Idk but I felt people get banned in game chat mostly they didn't do any thing wrong , personally i was banned 2wice saying "byeee" that doesn't make any sense and I have seen some ppl using very hard words and no one cares ( mods i mean) we dont need more mods rather we need fair mods.

i'm able to speak russian and english and i can tell you that there are not alot of older people(rank- and age-wise) that swear - it's mostly the newer ones which are a bit younger (age-wise) who swear alot when they get killed and rage because things don't go how they would like them to go.

Lol, if I gave a mod application one of my reasons would not be "I've been here for over a year", even though I have. DaSpamer, if they made you a mod tanki will uber die...... T_T I'd get a daily ban.

I see alot of people swear like f word s word and more over 100 times a day. We need more mods in my opinion. 15 more?

I've been here since February 2010. I've never swore or any of that. Maybe warned of flood several times banned 3 times I think. Posted lots in the forum I've been a mod on other sites.

Impossible, since humans would have to update them, finding every new swear word daily is not possible. Humans would be more...customizable... to each situation, anyways.
