I wouldn't say that if i where you, i would have drawn the best picture so as to win than jus wait to complain about minor issues....

 

The English version hasn't had the chance of having all sorts of contests in the past as the Russian version does. Now that we have that chance, lets use it for positive reasons rather than this. If they got away with it this time it was because a very little number of participants entered the contest. Its a lesson to everyone.

 

Take part in contests and avoid such situations.

Wow' date=' the top three are great, but some of the runners-up.... absolutely trash. And I laughed, literally, when I saw that "The Tankman" picture in the runners-up. hogree i have already said that i ' ve partecipated only to try this event for the first time and to win something.. i also don't like a lot my picture (:D) but i woulded to make something to funny :)

1st 2nd and 3rd places pitcures were good (nice job)

i was dissatisfied about up runners... a lot of them were good but some were bad (most of all the last picture) :evil:

i created my picture to be at least one of up runners (u can see it if u want here http://forum.tankionline.com/posts/list/120/57922.page just find it ;) )

k its not very good but better than some of up runners..... i guess :oops:

but anyway there were lots of better pictures :roll:

Venix84 there will be plenty of such contests now that am here, just keep your head up and before you know it i'll be congratulating you :)

 

This goes to everyone else too, lets keep the positive emotions because there are not many of us (english players) so if we don't unite i think we won't get anywhere. So congratulations again to the winners and a warning to those who got away with their "copy cat" creations, it wont be that easy next time.

You all need to stop this nonsense. The winners and the runners-up all thoroughly deserved their places. They all shared creativity and effort. Most of the submissions I saw were either stolen or thrown together in 2 seconds. You all had AMPLE time to work on something (1 month) yet you didn`t. If your creation lacks effort, then you don`t deserve a winning spot. There will be more contests like this, I`m sure. I`d like to say congratulations to the prize winners and am honored to be a runner-up. The 1500 crystals will help a lot!

 

To the Tanki team: Thanks for this contest! It was a blast. May I make a suggestion, though? Next time you run a contest of this nature, perhaps you should make it a traditional style-only or a digital-only contest. It is after all, hard to compare digital art to hand-drawn art.

Very good, accurate-looking? I don't think so. To make something beautiful, you have to be very, very good or you have to use your computer.

 

But maybe the time needed was the most important reason that these designs have been chosen.

Excuse me, but I spent 10 hours on my piece and the reason why the quality was so low was because : The image was larger than the paper I drew it on, and I had to reduce the file size by a whole megabyte!

I bet the winners were chosen on how-much-did-they-spent-on-tanki and best "4th-grade school drawing" skill basis :P

I think slavik942 and Mr-Nemo pics deserve a better position on, but I could respect judges choices somehow so I have to congratulate to every winner, enjoy your crystals and improve your artistic skills ;)

 

Another note: I don't get why mohammed1177 pic get so high... it's only a collage of 6 images, a background texture, a little text and a filter on all. I don't see so much effort on it... but maybe I couldn't judge it right, besides I lost the contest...
