REPOSTED: New Bug - Low Framerates

Recommended Posts

I am reposting this because Mikhail Gofman deleted my original thread without warning or reason!

To make a long story short:

  • There is a problem now after the last fix for lag issues involving Firefox Mac 3.6.2 (latest update)

  • The framerates USED to be good 20-30 fps, now they are 3-8 fps 12 max!!!

  • Same games played in Safari for Mac gets 20-30 fps

  • I have the latest version of Flash installed

I expect this thread will not be erased to try and hide the facts!

I have contacted Mikhail, and he assured me it was just a mistake and he did not intend to delete my thread. I appreciate his response to my concerned PM.

Here is my Original thread on this problem:

Here is a new bug I just noticed. Last night there was tons of lag making the games unplayable, and according to Mikhail Gofman the developers were working on fixes for 2 known bugs. After they were applied, I noticed I could log into a game, and the lag problems seemed minimal or gone, but the usually great framerate was horrible. I was using Firefox and all games had this now, framerates between 7-12 fps vs the usual 20-30 fps. In a game others said their frame rates were fine. I tried using Safari and it was better.

Here is what I found:

Using Firefox for Mac, all framerates were 7-12 fps.

Using Safari for Mac, all framerates were 20-30 fps.

Before last night I only used Firefox for Mac and it was always 20-30 fps

My Details:

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Flash plug-in : Version 10.0.45.2

Mozilla/5.0 (Macintosh; U; Intel Mac OS X 10.5; en-US; rv:1.9.2) Gecko/20100115 Firefox/3.6

Safari OS X 10.5; Version 4.0.4 (5531.21.10)

I have since updated Firefox to 3.6.2 to no avail. it still has the low frame rates. Safari is ok, but Firefox is used by many on Mac's
