Thunder is better in general, because it can be further upgrade, so pick that. But either one is good.

I`d have to say Viking and Thunder.

 

Though Twins are good for keeping people pinned down, they can still peak out of cover and shoot at you.

I think better option is thunder because i play which thunder but m2 and i can make 500 destroyed and 20 lost on one mach 100 minutes. Thunder distance is much better on twins. If you play before smoke, thunder is better option.

But, if you are a Pro player, and you know where to stay, twins are the best choice, because with a good Body as viking, you can survive until you've destroyed all enemy without taking self-Damage if an enemy comes in front of you :) I made 250 kills and 79 dies in a 100 minutes battle in silence. :shock: :D :twisted:
