'Connection to server c1.tankionline.com failed'

Recommended Posts

I have been getting the same 'connection failed' message whenever I try to log onto Tanki in the last 24 hours! I have tried Google Chrome, Mozilla Firefox, and Internet Explorer on three different computers, none work!

Any solutions will be greatly appreciated.

Hi, I ran into the same problem. It seems to be the flash plugin, that is don't working anymore, because the connection fails on Firefox and on Opera (on Ubuntu 11.04). The networkconnection is okay, because the game connects on my netbook. I tried following steps:

1. clearing the cache

-> no change :(

2. deleting all files from tmp and ~/.macromedia/Flash_Player/#SharedObjects and ~/.adobe/Flash_Player/AssetCache/

-> no change :x

3.a uninstalling the flashplayer (I chose the option uninstall completly)

3.b restart the pc and install the plugin from scratch

3.c doing steps 1. and 2.

-> no change :evil:

Currently installed (after running "sudo apt-get install flashplugin-nonfree" of step 3.b) is "Shockwave Flash 11.0 r1".

Any other ideas?

Didn't work.

Are your internet works so slow? are your firewall blocks tanki? Are you using uTorrent or anything simular to it that may decrease the speed and package's couldnt sent or received?

Try contact your ISP

Usally its happens when your computer getting errors with the running RAM (all the info you used/using) to fix it you just restarting the computer... sometimes the Failed thing happens when the same problem happens to your modem (happens rarely) and its like blocking the web cause the problem..so you just need restart it

Thank you for the first reply. I try to answer to all of your questions:

I played two weeks without any problem. So it can't be the speed of my internet. There was no background-process, that shared the bandwidth. I got the full speed (at the moment 2298/445 kbit/s). The game is working on my netbook :? All my abortive attempts I made over days, so it can't be the connection or a long runnig computer. I realy don't know, what change could be happen meanwhile. I did absolutely no change at my network-configuration (firewall, router, network-interface, ...).

I'll try to find out, what changes were happen too (e.g. Ubuntus update, but there was no component for networking).

Again: thank for the ideas! I will give you the answer, as soon as I find the "bug" in my system.

Well next error, but could be helpfull to find the real error. I set up a Windows XP in my Virtual Box, downloaded the last Adobe Flash plugin and got this error, while trying to connect to a server with the installed InternetExplorer 7:

German

Loading error. Error #2048 Verletzung der Sicherheits-Sandbox: http://tankionline.comAlternativalLoader.swf?v=4 kann keine Daten von http://c15.tankionline.com/config.xml?md=0.92711933702230045 laden

The english meaning is, that die swf-file couldn't load the data form config.xml, because of an violation of the security-sandbox.

Where can I configure the sandbox? Which one is it. I was running in a virtual box, so can it be a sandbox (if there is any implemented) of the:

1. FlashPlugin

2. Windows XP

3. Virtual Box

4. Ubuntu 11.04 (I chose a direct connection, so it shouldn't be)

5. Networkadapter

Does anyone has an idea, what this message can mean and how to solve it? Realy interessting is, that I don't get it in the ubuntu (FlashPlugin of Opera/Firefox) environment. The message came up as content of the flashplayer (not in the html of the page).
