Thunder: Viking or Mammoth?

IMO, titan is emerging as a very good choice with thunder for those people who are not going to play till the rank of generalissimo and not going to spend money on crystals.

 

SO titan m2 has hp of 292 and speed of 5.3 which will be nightmare for any opposition.

thats two more ranks to wait .. how do you equate that

No I actually meant Lieutenant Colonel. Than I could buy Viking M2. I want to get an M2 tank during the sale, preferably Viking, but I'm trying my best to rank to Major, so I can buy Mammoth M2 instead.

Sorry for bumping, but as you all know about rebalance, what are your views on the choice of hull with thunder now.

 

Is viking still a good choice for thunder when it comes to versatility?

 

No question about mamoth, it is so slow now that you can't do anything else than camping.

 

Other tanks : hunter, dictator and titan have been improved and can't be ignored for the choice of hull with thunder.

Mamoth m3 got a decent speed and lot of armor but when we talk about mamoth m1, it is just a camping tank at the speed of 3.4.

You're probably just used to using Mammoth on full drugs and killing pissed off Vikings in 2 or less hits.

You are absolutely wrong. I do not have mammoth, but my teammate has. We were playing Silence II, when noone used drugs, Mammoth won Viking(both had Thunders and paint Rustle), when started Drug battle, mammoth destroyed and dominated against viking.

Dicatator is much more better that viking(If we are not looking at ranks when they are available).

Its obvious that mammoth with higher hp will win against viking one on one but here we are discussing which tank is better overall including speed.

You do not need to quote last post! ;)

And what you can do with your speed? Use Nitro and all will be ok. In CTF, you can sit on your flag and noone can not take it, while your teammates have all the chances to enemy flag. In DM, no comments, Mammoth rulzzz, Viking licks your shoes, TDM, something like DM...

Mammoth is too slow if ur rank is not high to buy mamoth m2, even at m2 it is 4.4.

 

Thunder lose its damage above 60m

<60m : 100% damage

60-120m : 75 % damage

>120 : 50% damage

 

There will be many instances when your target would be farther than 60m and then your mammoth won't help you. Capturing flag would be almost impossible with mammy. The only use of mammoth is in DM and TDM matches.

All those who are in favor of mammoth are druggers or play DMs and TDMs.

 

Game is not a fun with slow speed of mammoth. Just imagine Kungur, mammoth will be horrible there, without nitro it won't be able to see the sight of enemy's base.

My rank is far far below Generalissimo, i can't make a choice considering Mammoth m3 when i can't even buy that at my rank. Reality is that mammoth is too slow till m2 and i won't ever reach the last rank coz i don't play that much or dnt buy experience.

 

In your case, mammoth is unarguably the best hull esp. for thunder.

Hi! I have thunder, viking and mammoth, all m0. But i dont know what tank to use. Viking is good because i can go for flags and resist hits. But i can get them with mammoth too, i'm slower but they have a big time to kill me. What do you think is the best tank of this both to use with Viking and why?

Viking. Because its brilliant its relatively fast and has a lot of health, especially when upgraded.Mammoth has Buckets loads of health but is the slowest hull in the game.OK it can takes loads of damage but so can Viking but Viking is ALOT faster. I've been using Viking and Thunder since the Rebalance and I've found it a brilliant hull even when it was M0.i haven't used the Mammoth yet but i might buy it soon.

Mammoth is better in DM and at drugwars - it's getting a bigger bonus from First Aid and Double Armor. Thanks to its armor you'll be able to stay on firing position longer and get more kills.

 

Viking is a versatile solution, better used in TDM and CTF. By using its speed and agility you'll be able to both support attacks on enemy base and play as a defender. Having a Viking M3 you'll be able to play with any turret with no restrictions.

 

I have both hulls M3 and still play mostly on Viking. Even in DMs. For me more speed = more fun. But Mammoth + Thunder on Highland map is magnificent.

Well with thunder it is prety equal on which to use. My opinion i would use mammoth. Gets you more kills and lets you live longer so isada can heal you. Use mammoth way stronger and also they need to reduce prices becuase they think we are stupid in not noticing that they rose it after multiplying everything by 10. HELLO WE ARE NOT MORONS TANKI!
