Moderator Need Complaint

I do not mean to be rude or annoying to any moderators, developers, or regular players by what I am going to say.

I believe there should be a few recruiters that look for players in servers whom are mature and efficient in what they say. There has been no moderators for a time now in some servers most of the time. Without these moderators we are defenseless against the 'trolls' in which violate the Rules. I would like to suggest that some other moderators look for the few in which meet a requirement of maturity and how often they are online. If we do not do this, we might never have another moderator to 'police' the chats and other things such as power-leveling. Reporting may be a good way to get rid of the problem, but it is not fast enough to actually do something at the exact moment the offender needs to be remove. If moderators governs all the lobby chats, we could... WOULD see a difference from a spamming, offensive bunch of a rowdy bunch into a kinder and gentler chat room with laughs.

Sure there would be SOME mistakes but does that really matter? A moderator at least is doing his/her job. If a higher up believes that a moderator did wrong, speak with him and see the view of his/her. It is really selfish to believe that the head chat moderators views are forever correct. we are all human and thus we all make mistakes. A man who specializes in one area can't be expected to achieve 100% efficiency.

Back to my topic, we need more moderators and we need it done. Violators are numerous and are growing. They are flooding the chats and so we need to correct this problem.

Head Chat Moderators or any others near that position, read what i am saying and see from my view and others like myself. We need more of you who are good at judging and are not violators. A mature bunch would be preferred. Age doesn't tell us about maturity. Words do. Remember this.

lols what tanki needs to do is to re-screen their MODS and filter out the ones who have been unfair in bans they also need to get more MODs but from their perspective age do matter but from ours so do the maturity and sanity of the MOD i will not hide it i do doubt at least 1 MOD also all this "trolling" got worse after MadDog21 is no longer a MOD not sucking up or anything just stating the facts as they are

That is so freaking true man ! And also the age, that is annoying. Cause it is not about your age, but your responsibility and you English skills. Like I'm very good at English (I had a 9,4 for my test :D), and I can make a dutch version of Tanki Online (This is my skill). Like that is good. And age: Doesn't matter.

So many people think age is the difference between mature and immature. Look at some famous people who are above the age of 20 whom are not responsible. Age, race, religion and gender don't matter in the world of knowledge. Also, tolerance is something that many don't have. Why don't they? Because of the violators, since they are not stopped if we don't have enough moderators. We need to keep this site clean of the vulgarity and worthless spam. We don't need people who cheat or 'hack'. We need regular players that have other's people best interest at mind.

If we all agreed to be friends and understood each other, we would have peace. One person can upset the peace and topple everyone to doom. That's why there should be moderators. If we have enough of the 'Police', we would therefore see the big difference. I have seen so many people complain about the violators and I think it's time for a change. A change that pleases the regular player. Sure, the moderators would be criticized, but that won't matter. The player needs to see the why's of a judging and how it is reasonable. As does everyone else.

And it should depend on how often they get on as well. The fact that i barely see some moderators is proof that he is not on and we may need a pair for each server. A safety precaution at least, a mandatory stock at most. The fact is that moderators are like regular players, just with the trust of admins and such in a sense. I myself believe that a moderator should choose his own server. 2 per server. It would be an advantage against trolls and other violators.

Plus the fact there should be understandings between moderators and admins. They need to understand one another since I would hardly think there would be a 100% agreement. Not to offend any but it is true. We need more moderators. that is the whole point.

That is right, and I think that Koolwalky and Dingus should be Chat Administrators. And that your age only counts for to become an Administrator, but that you do have to be 12+ for moderator.

We are not discussing about their actions but about their requirements and details that support the case of which I had mentioned. Plus we only said their names and said some suggestions. That is not criticizing or offending really. We really do need more moderators. It is essential because the numbers of violators are multiplying. This is like the Domino Theory. If one falls, the ones surrounding it will fall. Though it doesn't seem that way to you, try to see it like that. Thank you.

Just to let you guys know. Me and dingus have been here for quite a time now. And we do have other things to do. We are on Tanki chat every time we get free time, anywhere. I myself am on 2 servers at a moment with both of my accounts, for those who don't know. Its koolwalky and koolmewalky. I agree that we don't have enough moderators but that does not mean that the ones we have are not fair or active enough. If you want to apply to become a moderator, you can. No one stopped you from doing so. Even if there is an Age limit what's bad in applying if you have experience?

Of course when we all apply, how will the admins be able to discern who would be good and who would be bad? Hmf, I remember I tried about a month ago and I was told I would be considered when the time of need came. I thought that was so special, until I realized that pretty much everyone in this english forum has applied some time or another. Again, I still don't know how mods are chosen from the crowd of applicants.

I agree, kids play this game and they must not learn anything sexual, profanity, or somewhat bad. That is the exact reason why I dont let my little brother play this game, it is not very filtered, and not very safe, I would apply, but im 12, what chance would a 12 year old have to be a staff of a national game?

Agreed! Tanki does need more moderators. The current ones are trying their best to be on a lot and try to help us all with our problems, and we should all appreciate that. The problem is, there have been some situations where people needed help. It wasn't just myself that needed help all of the time, but a lot of other people are affected as well. I agree with The_Colonel all the way.I also agree that the age requirement is not needed. Like other people here said, it should depend on maturity. Some people younger than twenty or twenty-one might have been around a lot of bad things in their lives. Sure, age might mean that a lot of people might be more mature, but some of the younger people can also be incredibly mature and speak fluently. If something doesn't change, all of the English moderators will be gone eventually and players will start to leave.

Instead of making more moderators, make a chat filter system that actually works, and instead of pointlessly banning people, just make the message with inappropriate words not show up. Also, if a player says the same thing more than 2 times in a row, have the system auto block the next time he/she says the same message. Lastly, have 1 actual moderator appointed to each server to take care of people that know how to avoid the filter or people that break rules such as asking for passwords. Normally, chat moderators shouldn't be playing the game, but I know tanki doesn't want to pay 20 Moderators for sitting in a server with like 100 people.

 

Well, I've seen systems like this in some games but considering Tanki has separate chats in each battle and so many servers with so little people... I just don't think this will be solved easily.

Just get used to it, any online game will have trolls, hackers, abusers, and most obviously; people who break chat rules. If you don't like such people, don't play online games.
