Need some tips Weps/Tank

Hallo to all Tanki players,

 

I have m3 hornet now and I like its speed and "ninja" playstyle (using mostly isida and freeze). But annoying about it is, that almost all weapons just blow me away, not to mention getting paralised by twins or riko. I was thinking about changing to viking when 2.0 comes, so I need some pros and cons from experienced players. And is viking also getting disrupted by twins and riko like hornet or less? I was thinking about getting isida, freeze and riko in 2.0.

This is what I use.

 

M3 hornet, with M3 Rail, M3 Isida or M3 Freeze, Paint is always Prodigi.

M3 Viking with Rail, Isida, Freeze, Thunder, Rico. Paint is Prodigi or Python, with some exceptions in certain games with Emerald.

M3 Mammoth with Thunder, Ricochet or Freeze, Paint is always Emerald with Thunder, and Python with the other two.

 

Honestly speaking, Ricochet and twins are just as annoying with Viking as they are with Hornet. Probably not to the point of actually flipping your tank, but it is enough to make you hug a wall to be able to actually move. They aren't annoying on the mammoth's side though.

As for using Isida, I honestly prefer Hornet over everything else just because its small and its able to hide behind enemy tanks with ease. As for Freeze, it solely depends on your preference. If you are going for the flag, or defending, then Hornet is a pretty choice just because its able to take down the enemy by surprise. Otherwise, for camping with freeze, You'd be better off with Viking.

 

Please keep in mind that these tips do not apply to Silence! That's the last map you should be playing with Hornet.

I prefer aggressive playstyle. So I guess playing with hornet is a good choise for me. I'm saving crystals for m3 freeze now. I was thinking about a color that gives me some protection against riko and twins in later stage of game, cause thats my biggest problem atm, not to mention ohko by shaft.

Don't bother getting Shaft Protection. Even if you do get Jade, Highest Shaft protection that is 45%. It won't do any good whatsoever. Why?

 

M3 Shaft - Highest Damage 180 at max charge.

 

180 - 45% = 99

 

You live with 1 HP, So unless you think that is enough for you to do something. Don't get shaft protection. I'd focus on Rail thunder protection because Thunders are going to give you a hard time on better maps like Kungur and Tribute. Not to mention the annoying Railguns.

 

I've used Hornet for quite a while, and I have yet to use Jade with Hornet. So suggested paints for Hornet in order, most preferred to least, IMHO.

You should get inferno cos freezes are gonna give u a hard time capturing flags. Plus 20% against rail as well. Ifnyou use a short ranged weapon then go for maps that are flat so avoid silence noise. Dont be put off by the low hp, hornets meant for flags not fighting anyways so dont get viking. When going for the flag u want to plan ur entrance and escape route beforehand, mine the escape route just in case, wait for the enemy to be all fighting and go for it. When you see sonebody thats not ur color dont shoot unless he sees you. If theres some enemies near the flag you want to wait till hes gone as taking the flag will capture hes attention. Generally avoid fights and you should be fine wiyh hornet

M3 hornet + isida or +rail is best. dic is also gd but in maps like pass i prefer hornet due to small spaces. I got 154 crystals out of 184 2day in like 45 mins.

Nah I wont buy dictator, I like +2 m/s better :) And I found out its very good to have hornet + isida (m3 ofc) when rushing with another m3 hornet, viking couldnt be able to keep up without speed boost.

 

I tried different weapons and playstyles, but aggressive play is something I like, so gonna stick with hornet + isida/freeze, hope good paint will make some difference, was thinking about spark, but dont know yet... I still have time to think about it till I get enough crystals :D

Eg, Making 2000 crystals a week gives you M3 Thunder quite quickly, if you count seven weeks as quick.
