It really depends on what map you are playing on. It also depends if you have a fast tank or not. If you like close range and have a faster tank (wasp), the firebird is good. If you like long range then try the smoky

Choosing from Smoky and Firebird choose Twins. Cos it rules.

 

PS: If you've got Smoky M0 and you are thinking about buying Firebird M0 - buy it! Cos it's cheap. Then level up to unlock Twins and try it too. All these guns are cheap at M0 modifications, and each successive gun is better than the previous one. Test them all, choose the one you like and stick to upgrading it.

Smoky is pathetic at m1, even at low ranks. Until you've got m2, use firebird, but save up cash to get m2 smoky. Once you get that, that is absolute brutality and you can own until you get to master sergeant, where you'll need m3 smoky.

Heres what I do compared to most people-

 

My way: M2 Hunter and M1-3 twins until you get to viking, hornet, or mammoth, stick with that combo

 

Most common way: M3 Smoky and M3 Wasp until viking, hornet, or mammoth is reached.

Its gotta be the power of firebird. still my primary wep as a wo5, and ive not messed up my garage really ;) I prefer it over my m1 thunder.
