I'm just interested in what you guys all think of the state of the forum at the moment...

 

Just rate the forum (the forum, not tanki as a whole), out of 10 as you see it on the poll above. If you like, post here as well with your vote so people can know what you think, and maybe even vote some certain categories of the forum.

 

For example, I'll say my opinions. 10 is best.

I'd rate the total forum 2/10.

 

Now for each category:

-Modding: 7/10

-Staff: 9.5/10

-Community (forum community, not tanki community): 1/10

-Organisation: 3/10

-Average quality of thread: 2/10

-Average quality of post: 1/10

-Forum sections: 6/10

-Humour: 0.5/10

-Features of the forum: -1/10

-Topic of the forum (i.e. Tanki) 11/10

Mods are never perfect: 7 is as good as you could get, probably. Although, if you really want me to say any of the small problems I have, I could PM you.

Please do, and I agree that we can't be perfect. But we try to be.

 

PS, I rated it overall - 10, only problem is activity. But that's not really the forum's problem, its the community.

I voted 5. I must admit that the forum has deteriorated slightly recently and some of the things are worse than before.

 

The forum games used to be so fun, but have fallen apart somewhat, and the topics, especially in General, are much worse than before. Just debates on random topics. Only 1 out of every 5 topics in General seem to me to be relevant.

 

I would say that:

 

The humour on this forum is non-existent, in my opinion a lot of fun is lacking here.... but to be honest, i dont know really how we could make it much funner, the way this forum is organized, with rather strict rules, definitely helps, but it does take away quite a bit of fun. But the mods are still good, and i like the community to be honest.

no offence but it's offensive to say that modding is 7, i think they deserve a 9, but to get 10, must get the little buggers in the forums out... but, meh, life is just that same old amusment ride

Do you seriously think thats offensive? I know the mods are great, yeah they are, and they're doing all they can, but they surely miss out on some things, and dont do EVERYTHING perfect. I dont think thats offensive One bit.

8, mods are sometimes unfair and there is still trolls. Maybe a forum in a different language would clear up the massive block of Arabic from the English, it would would look a lot cleaner.

Well, that's exactly what I'm saying to the mods... they're good, but they still aren't perfect by any means, and I know that they will think that themselves.

This forum has one BIG problem called JForum (forum's engine). No user settings, no ability to search users, pages are big... I would recommend the PunBB - it's easy to manage, has many extensions and skins, lots of personalization settings and it's quite fast. Trust me, I'm using it on my forum (who knows Czech, visit http://pctipy.net , others have to use Google Translator or find anoher forum with this engine).

I dislike the way the forum is laid out at the moment. I do think that JForum can have user features, but I think that they aren't turned on here. And that just means that the only rating of personality we have is post count, which increases people's flood.

in my opinion, this forum is like a work in progress, it will have its faults, the community could be better, but overall, think of the things that it does help us with, the contests, clan pages, communication, etc. there are some things that could use some help here and there, but, i think its a 7/10 forum. the only problem i see in the forum is the community.

6. tanki need to encourage more players to participate in the forum, there has to be also more different Languages ​​forum, we need more mods, better search tool. admins should give more attention to the ideas of the players.

10 - The forum is perfect, and I will be always posting here and making fun. It also has the best lay-out of all the forums, and I could never create a forum such as perfect as this.
