A Formal Protest Against The Ricochet M3

I'm having Richochet M3, and it's not THAT good. It's good, and you kill even mammoths with spark (30% anti-richochet) I can kill. But if you are with Hornet M3, and you want to kill a Hornet M0 with Twins M3, it's pretty hard. So if the Richochet M3 gets changed, the twins need to get changed too!

The ricochet does not have an unfair advantage. Using it is quite hard if you don't know that. But yes, it does dominate mid range once you master it. But isn't that what the weapon was made for? Mid-range domination?

Look, Ricochets are annoying: I'll give you that. But imagine if no weapons annoyed you. What would tanki be without the annoying factor that some weapons gave? It's annoying being wiped out by a thunder you cannot see or pinpoint. It's annoying being frozen as you take the flag. It's annoying when a shaft wipes you out on full health. And yes, it's annoying when ricochets constantly bash you about the place. But so what? Shouldn't weapons have that annoying factor?

 

As for the actual overpowered-ness of the ricochet, I see no reason why it's overpowered. All you need is skills, experience and drugs: three things from this post I doubt you have, at least not the first and last. I'm nothing like the best thunder player that there is, but when I go against a ricochet, it's the ricochet who gets his shots directed wrongly, not me. And there are plenty of better thunder users out there, I'm sure.

 

And another note: if you go about thinking you should defeat ricochets within 80 metres with your thunder, you have serious misconceptions about the purpose of thunder.

And as for the thunder issue, yes, I barely know much about your tanki habits. But on the other thread you said that you were going to get m3 thunder soon and how you primarily used m2 thunder, so I assumed that.

I believe that the Ricochet is fine how it is. They have already weakened it once, and who would pay all of those crystals for a horrible weapon. Recoil is part of this line of weapon. Twins has the same recoil of not worse that the Ricochet.

Yup rico has been nerfed, and if it isn't then I might say it could be overpowered. Basically imo, the fact that rico bullets move slow and are easy to dodge, it makes the wep not overpowered. If it was as fast as a twins, then , yes its overpowered....

Why don't i? Well maybe it's NO ONE is as big of an offender as you are, and often you instigate other peoples inappropriate behavior. Why don't you try to be accepting of other people's ideas and realize that I'm not the only person who thinks you are being unreasonable. If you want developers to listen to your ideas, then don't keeping using profanity and insulting people, and be constructive in your posts. I recall Dingus saying to you something among the lines of " With that attitude you become the problem". Doesn't seem like the developers are to eager to listen to you anymore. 2. Purchase the Zeus paint for 15000 crystals. It has the best protection against this 'unfair' weapon.

 

3. Drug until the ricochet user(s) leave the battle. If your drugging results in an all-out drug war, you have no one to blame but yourself, so you might as well give your face a good slapping a few times before you press '234'.

 

4. Attempt to anger the ricochet by using profanity in the game chat. If you succeed in doing so, he may drug. If he drugs, then other players will most definitely use their own, thus leaving you yourself without any drugs, and a pathetically low D/L ratio. (It is also quite possible that you may get banned, which will also have no positive impact upon your gaming experience.)

 

5. Quit Tanki forever, be a wuss, and cry yourself to sleep each night, wondering why some people would ever want to use a weapon as great as ricochet against poor, little, noobsome YOU.

 

6. (My personal favorite.) Suck it up, take a big breath, and own the ricochet by using pure skill. Smile when you annihilate him, sigh when he destroys you, and get back to the battlefield!
