Some suggestions:

 

Stop using blender render; it sucks; use Cycles render

Cycles gives more realistic renders.(longer render times though

 

Give the tanks a actual material

The red and blue default material sucks

Haha I was going for something simple but yeah I probably should... Time to go look up how to use cycles :P
