TANKI - STOP the cheating - or else no Europe!

The upshot is this:

If TANKI think that they can survive without Europeans - maybe they are happy with a cheat infested game and the profits from non-European countries.

In effect, this game must be blocked from European payments - as TANKI are not showing that they think that cheating in this game is an issue.

It IS an issue when European teens are spending their pocket money - only to be stolen by non-European adults that have infiltrated this game with hacked software cheats.

 

TANKI - this game has to be cleaned-up.

Firstly, I love this game - (I am a 48 year old systems analyst / software developer - not a 15 year-old) - it's brilliant to unwind with.

 

I needed to be clear on that because I have serious issues with how the game is being managed (at a business level), and I would want to be taken seriously.

This game needs to survive, but it won't if cheating is allowed (for profit purposes) to persist.

 

Please escalate this to those with authority (if you have none).

 

I really do want to see this game survive the hackers - beating them AND making profit.

Simply prove TANKI really believes in honesty and the game will grow from strength-to-strength instead of nose-dive (due to exponential bad publicity).

This hacking-hiding / ignoring will kill this game just as it killed Unreal Tournament.

 

I know that TANKI has the data (IP address / login / game logins) to PROVE cheating beyond reasonable doubt when it comes to the so-called MULTI cheating.

 

It's simple really - TANKI knows the MULTI cheats - it is for some reason not blocking them.

 

As for the ISIDA hackers - that comes down to TANKI spending money on experts - they need to spend that money and PROVE their intent to be an honest game provider.

 

Please escalate this - I am willing to respond whenever required.

 

I see many new players stating that they 'believe' they are getting hit 'from nowhere'.

The 'hackers' are arrogant enough to respond stating that they are imagining it!

 

After playing only for a few months - I am aware that hack-cheats are rife in TANKI, and are (to all intents and purposes) stealing money from fair players. TANKI is fully aware that this IS happening (if not - they are not capable of hosting a game-site).

 

TANKI - sort this cheating out, and be SEEN to be sorting it out.

Yours is a great game - don't expect thieves to use your game to steal from other people - and expect it to carry on being popular. Unreal Tournament basically died becasue of this.

They've already made a new system to keep us "safe". So far, although cheats have been lessened, they are still present, and a number of people have been banned when they didn't do anything.

Please take this simple statistic into consideration.

 

For every one Tanki developer/administrator working on the game, there are well over one thousand hackers working every day (at their leisure, mind you) on finding slight errors and loopholes in the game's programming. It is extremely difficult to subdue the thieving minds of thousands of seasoned hackers and cheaters with only ten fingers and a mouth. (The latter being ineffective in most situations)

 

Perhaps you should try finding the source of the "cheat engines," and work to find in what ways one can stop the process of the cheat in the middle of it happening. (Specific data surges, lack thereof to the servers, etc.)

 

If it makes any difference to you and/or your response, I am "only fourteen years old." 8)

The devlopers upgrade the anti-cheating software with nearly every update. They are human, meaning that they are not perfect, and have flaws, just like you. If you do not like the game at its current state, then kindly stop whining like a toddler who can't get his favorite toy at the store, and stop playing play the game. Others have different opinions; who are you to try to influence them?

 

Tanki does not force you to spend money, bud. If you feel that you must pay for crystals, then you are the naive one. :wink:

Give one logical solution to ban all hackers from this game with not a single innocent player punished and I will make sure it is heard.

 

Suggestions already given are:

 

• IP bans, Affects a majority of regular players with non-static IP and those sharing a single connection.

• Strict anti-cheat, Many innocent players got blocked, Had to make it a little less strict.

• Vote-Kick feature, Easily exploitable by clans.

@OP: Basically, the way I see it is, there IS no perfect solution. In order for an automated anticheat to work is for it to first successfully distinguish between "cheaters" and normal players. Unfortunately, there are so many different varieties of cheaters, and with so many players to moniter, there is no feasible way to instantaneously get a rid of all the hackers there are. Now it's clear tanki has massively improved the cleaning up of hackers in recent months; there once was a time when almost every battle was infested with some form of hacker. Now, hackers are spotty, if present at all in an everyday game.

 

There is no such thing as a perfect Utopia...sorry. You seem a bit Platonic in your aspirations, but alas, this is not the "ideal world."

No one can stop them, Tanki is doing a hard job on reducing the cheats... if they didn't do anything about it, this place would be full of hackers.

 

you could really help by getting a screenshot/video of the hacker instead of complaining all the time.
