Off-topic section (still) contains irrelevant topics!

Instead of moving the old thread to the correct location, the staff decided to lock it! So now I have to make it yet again.

Almost 1/2 a year ago I made a thread regarding the forum organization, I was told that there would be some action taken.

But to where we are now nothing has changed! Since then, the last thread has been archived and I can't bump it, so now I'm forced to create another as a reminder to the staff.

"I took this simple screenshot of the pinned threads in the 'Off-Topic Discussion' and wrote on it yesterday morning talking about the pinned threads.

As you can see, these threads do not belong in the section! They would fit the 'Game Discussion' area better than this section. How they got pinned without being moved I have no idea, but these are only the pinned threads! There are many more non-pinned topics in this section that also do not belong there. Because of this we are losing a 'Off-Topic' section and the 'Game Discussion' section is slowly dying. With how strict the moderation is in its current form, how has this been overlooked?

Can we get some staff to look into topic/section organization? This is clearly not working!"

Despite a title change or two, all those topics are still pinned, this does not need to be updated in any way.

Deliver on your promises, Tanki Forum staff!

This will be locked as a duplicate thread, but I have no other way of delivering the message to those who care.

Please try to realise the magnitude of the task you're suggesting. After your last topic regarding this issue, various plans were immediately drafted with the aim of better forum management, specifically, the off topic discussion. However, just moving those topics to Game Discussion isn't a solution as that would give rise to various other confusions and complications. Hence, along with moving those topics, we also need to clarify what exactly off topic is meant for, which topics can be allowed there, etc. That's why the task is taking longer than one would expect. Rest assured, it's definitely on our to-do list.

Thank you for raising awareness with us, another blatant proof of massive corruption!

I'm not sure how that pertains to corruption.... I mean, how does that benefit anyone?

Currently we're working on getting the Creativity section back on its tracks and we're working on reworking the help files, which is a massive task. On top of that we still have to moderate the forum also, and with many new updates coming our way, that task is more time consuming.

Luckily we have 3 new moderators, which should give us more time to work on the Game Discussion and Off-Topic discussion sections. This doesn't mean however that we all share your opinion on which topics are in the wrong section, or in which section they do belong.

I do not see what it has to do with corruption though, it's in everyone's best interest if all the topics are in the right section. Apart from that, no one is paying us to leave some topics in the wrong section, that wouldn't even make sense.

Let them stay in off-topic, this is because most tankers who use the forum know where these topics are. If you were to move them, most would not be able to find them. And let's say if they did, then those topics would lose popularity, why would you want topics to lose popularity ??

The logic you suggest is  , if you wanted to suggest a much better idea, just say change the name of "Off-topic" to something else, don't need to mess up the forum.

The forum died when Bruce left. It's that simple.

I'm just messing with you noobs.

No, when FBI joined the team after being a bad troll and turned on us everything changed.
