I don't have much against MMS compared to other players but I have these complaints:

 

1. Devs spent way too much time trying to develop MMS when the current statement was fine, if not better. 

 

2. MMS is a good idea, but it only works if the player base is large enough, which is definitely not something TO has anymore. 

 

3. The EXP gains in MMS battles are way too low. Grinding missions are now solely for grinding missions, you can't be trying to grind to the next rank through MMS battles. Unfortunately, to participate in any event, you have to be playing MMS. 

 

4. The fact that I'm allowed to spawn in a blowout game is just ridiculous.

I’ll jump in on this point. While I don’t see MM as the failure you do here, I wholeheartedly agree that the limited player base is a serious problem. Case in point, I spent about two hours one afternoon during star week playing deathmatches. Each successive MM battle saw me fighting mostly the same tanks on about half a dozen maps. Wasn’t bad, but did highlight that there are only so many players active at any given time.

 

I’m also aware that this kind of player recycling is the product of most of us pressing continue at the same time, that is when our battle is over. There may have been other active players I never saw simply because their matches were running on a different cadence

I don't have any problem with MM in general. I get thrown in a battle full of noobs even though they are legend rank, I carry my team, make us win, rek noobs and go to the different battle.

I'm placed into the same maps everyday, I'd appreciate it if map rotation was done properly.

 

Early battle termination should return.

That's definitely a valid point but to be honest, with or without matchmacking im still playing on the same maps everyday.

Without MatchMaking you can create any map you want, and still do missions. So you would not have to be on same maps every day.

 

 

Rank spread for matchmaking is too wide

 

Battles are too short - a lot of time wasted...

1) trying to enter battle

2) waiting for full teams - often starts uneven - you can tell when other tram has 8 players with score and u have 3

3) changing equipment in garage immediately due to not knowing map

 

Way too many lop-sided battles and players leave - early battle termination can mitigate this.

 

Get placed in battles with only 2-3 minutes left and score already decided

- Rank limits are too wide

- Placed into games with 2 minutes left

- Pressing "G" immediately to go into garage because maps are not balanced for all turrets/hulls

But let's be honest here, in the old system there are only battles found in Polygon, Rio, Island, Silence, Noise, etc. You really couldn't find another map to have a real battle in.

True - there is a good segment of the players that will flock to that.

 

However if MM removed, we can create longer (~ 15 minute battles) on maps we actually like - that are suited to our equipment.

I still feel that players will come if you create the battles.  Might have to wait longer, and may not always be 8 vs 8.

But I don't mind playing 5 vs 5 and waiting longer for a battle I actually want to play.

Yes, I 100% agree with longer battles and being able to join battles that suit your equipment.

Why do they put Groups vs random players? Groups was the worst idea in all this Match Failing joke.

It's ridiculous for both teams. Look the number of deaths of blue team. I killed them all. My teammates got killed and then they left.

And look the group of 3 noobs. They shared the flags, so all other blue got noob rewards. And the battle lasted only less than 4 minutes.

There's many complaints about matchmaking on russian forum and I already talked about this, so I think I'll write here too.

 

 

Without MatchMaking you can create any map you want, and still do missions.

You can, but there aren't many players who would do that and not so many players who actually play on different maps; even if you was lucky enough to find different map or if you created one youself, it was half-filled and had a score like 20-4. So yes it's sad that we lost this feature but it wasn;t really needed, as it seems.

This can be partially solved by matching players not by rank but by some rating (gear score for instance); this way we'll have same time to wait and less difference between players.

It's probably related to mobile version (it's unlikely that you'll play 15 minutes on your way to school/work or where you usually play on your phone). But I agree that's no good.

Good point. Let's hope developers would do something about that.

 

 

Why do they put Groups vs random players?

Developers say that there's always group vs group, but they can't do anything about player's skill. There was a group in your team too, but they just happened to be noobs. Unlucky for you. Matching by some rating as I already mentioned probabply can help with this problem too. Edited by rm-rf

1. Fix wait timer.

 

2. Not being thrown in a team who only have M1/M2s against M3/M4s to baby-carry them. (happens a lot on my alts)

 

3. Not being thrown into a battle which is close to being finished.

 

4. People not joining a fair battle till the end even when a space was open because someone had to leave (for reasons.

I don't like ctf, it's always one sided.

 

Cp almost always has the best kind of gameplay in my books.

True, CP is much more suitable for this game.. it's too hard to steal a flag nowadays unless the enemy is dumb and no one knows how to poop mines.

So what have Devs done to Team balancing?  It is broken.

 

Battles are starting off uneven and the losing team is not gaining recruits.  8 vs 4 for first 2-3 minutes of battle.   :o
