Hello, tankers! It’s August right now – the last month of the summer. In just a little while, the majority of you will go back to school to discover new knowledge, and the mood will change drastically. But if you want to rock those summer vibes just a bit longer, we encourage you to participate in our newest contest, “How I spent the summer.” Your task is to take a photo depicting how you spent your summer with Tanki Online. Feel free to be as creative as you can with the picture. For example, you can write something in the sand, with rocks or fruits, make a sculpture out of sand, and much, much more. Your creativity is the only limit! To participate you have to: Make sure your nickname, the contest name, and the year (2020) are visible on your entry (the easiest way will be to do it on the paper near your work, though creative methods can help you win). Take a photo of your work. Upload the photo on an image hosting site (for example, imgur.com) and send it via the special form: https://forms.gle/hKKmwiAJPLjsE7EN8 Prizes for the best entries are: 1st place: 100 000 crystals, 100 containers and 1000 tankoins 2nd place: 80 000 crystals, 80 containers and 800 tankoins 3rd place: 50 000 crystals, 50 containers and 500 tankoins Honourable mentions that do not make it into the Top 3 will receive a consolation prize of 15,000 crystals, 10 containers and 200 tankoins. Deadline for submissions is 16:00 UTC on September 5th. Results will be published on September 7th during the day. Fantasize, go on, and create masterpieces! We can’t wait to see what you guys come up with!4 points

Doing a bit of window shopping in the wiki and saw this. What about the players that have supported TO for just as long, whether by cash injections via the shop, to just actually supporting TO by playing every day and leaving for the most part credible, and at times excellent ideas in the relevant topics (via the forum) to improve either the mechanics of the game, or to improve the overall experience for the majority of players regardless if you are P2W or FTP. Normal players who have intelligent and unbiased ideas to help improve TO should be recognised also, by that i mean their ideas should be taken into consideration, and in some cases acted on in the spirit of dev/player collaboration, especially if the idea has actual merit and does not harm the economy adversely...... Guys if you think this a fair and reasonable request give it a like.4 points

The grand father paradox of time travel states that if you build a time machine, go to the past and kill your grand father, then you were never born and hence the time machine never existed. But what if two realities exist simultaneously, one where you were born and built a time machine and the other in which you killed your grand father. The result of which a new dimension tangently got created where the only initial difference between the two is that in one grand father was killed and there was no time machine built and the other in which you built a time machine and will return to after your hideous crime. This is consistent with the dimensions theory which states that an atom or its electron can co exist in multiple realities. Hence proved that a paradox can have a simple solution. Prove that reporters are awesome.3 points

Putting drones and turret augments (which are OP) in Ultra containers may be the stupidest thing the devs have ever done.3 points
-
The thing which makes drones the worst is that they are so powerful, and every other piece of equipment is different than them. No other equipment actively consumes a difficult to obtain supply. This means although f2p people can get them, their use isn't sustainable. Trust me though when I say that with some decent skills and good protections, you can certainly win still. Drones aren't at all necessary to do well, but on the receiving end of them things certainly do suck. Same with the EMP Gauss alt. Too OP, and buyer locked. We can deal with the game getting more difficult and grindy, but not with the insurmountable obstacles of ridiculously low probabilities (Crisis, EMP alt, Hull alts) and impossible to sustain resources (batteries).3 points

Ares can get stuck in these very annoying places: Aleksandrovosk- Chernobyl- I'm not saying that only Ares gets stuck here. It's just that Ares is very prone to getting stuck here compared to other hulls. Other hulls can easily avoid such situations. Also, there may be many other MM maps where Ares can get stuck easily, but till now I have got stuck in the above places only. P.S. @Spy please replace the links with images... I dunno why they didn't get converted to images automatically... EDIT: Thanks Spy!! ?2 points

do you think they have to care about F2P players? these types of players are simply free advertisement for the game, nothing else they dont generate the game any revenue at all, in fact all they do is take up space on their servers by creating and hosting an account im surprised tanki even has a full out english version when its solely owned by a russian company F2P players could leave right now and it wouldn't have any effect really, all you'd see would be the actual player numbers go down, thats it. it wont hurt revenue in any way unless buyers stop playing2 points

________________________________ The game is simple. The only thing you need to do is counting backwards starting from 50 until one player reaches 1. When a player reaches 1, the next player must start at 50 again. You get one point for each time you're the one to say "2". If you manage to be the one to post "1", you will awarded with two points ________________________________ 1. The general Game Rules apply. 2. Subtract one from the previous number 3. If a player has reached 1, we restart at 50 4. Do not use Alternative Accounts to win! If you change your nickname, let me know so you don't lose your score. Please PM Me ( @Spinister ) if you find any mistake so that I can fix it. It will come. A Wasp version of Ares is planned. Developers said that they are planning on making another light hull that hovers like Ares.1 point

The main concerns in TO are as follows-OVERDRIVES, in particular MURDER HORNET. MM-So unbalanced it's a joke. THE SHOP-Out of the reach of the majority of players it might as well not exist as far as they are concerned, in fact here is the new shop which i think has it's first customers eager to make a purchase.1 point

true, i have somewhat over 700 batteries, if i keep my drone equipped each battle they'll be gone in under 5 days that is almost 1 years worth of saving up so i just use my drone where it is absolutely necessary + i would recommend to not even use most drones if it hasn't been upgraded by atleast 5 steps otherwise effects are pretty much negligible1 point

The Hunter Overdrive seems to be the counter to a lot of overdrives. It negates Wasp N-2 bomb, Titan's dome, stuns Mammoth,Viking and Hornet from moving/firing in its overdrive state for a few precious seconds, and in addition removes supplies from hulls that do not have EMP protection. Now it can also negate the Ares BFG Cannon plasma ball. Unless she's wearing XT, she's not much to look at but she has it where it counts.1 point
-
That was meant to be a hard maybe yeah. I mean, Cosmic would recommend, I wouldn't really. Not personally. Only if you upgrade one combo, prots, and maybe that one drone. I don't know who would really want to do that though either, one combo/one turret just bores me to death. That's what I am doing on my alt but on KamiGT it would be way too boring.1 point
-
I Don't think drones are worth it. They're just too expensive and difficult to to manage with batteries adding to the bill.1 point

Sarim, this certainly IS NOT the sweet spot for the game in terms of ease of collecting drugs. Back before drones and when weekly mission chains existed, I chained a massive amount and collected about 15k of each supply except repairs. The thing about the current mission reward setup is that it seems to require more work and benefit the player less than it did before. For one, you only had to do one mission. Also, containers appear to be worse these days. Plus, before the weekly containers, you got a set amount of normal ones iirc. The other good part about where I was in the game at that point in time is that drugs weren't necessary to do halfway well in battle. These days, it is incredibly hard to play without. For me, at Legend rank, facing teams with 70% 9999 GS players and unlimited drugs, it is extremely hard to not use supplies. That makes it much harder to stack supplies as I had in the past. The pro battle community is also dead enough that it is hard to get most of your crystals that way, so MM becomes more attractive even though it is vastly inferior to no supply, balanced Pro Battles. EDIT: P.S. no, it isn't worth to buy supplies with cry IMO, at least not at Legend. Need to work on your equipment, prots, and maybe even a drone ?. 1k will not get you anywhere, and it's less than pocket change with these massively increased funds. Basically just save and play hyper efficiently in terms of drugging. You will need thousands of supplies for the high ranks, and your only salvation from the 3 star rank and beyond is M3 kits. The concentration of buyers is so high these days that you will not do well with M2. Pick a fun, VERSATILE combo and get it as a kit, then MU only on sale.1 point
-
hate to admit it but this is actually true, if you have 0 supplies, first few battles might be hard, but then you eventually get some from challenges, from there you can use those wisely to do weekly missions, which in turn guarantees you enough supplies to last a full week, by then you have already done more weekly missions and challenges and it goes on when i usually get high payouts >1k cry, i spend half of it on replenishing supplies that i used, mainly repair kits never have i once run out of supplies, even if i burn them at a ridiculous rate i will still somehow get some back through contests or just drop golds for myself to buy them (which i get from containers, challenges or events) in fact before these p2w updates i would never ever have any more than 20-30 of DA or SB (forget repair kits and DD), sure p2w updates overall made the game worse but atleast noob players like me now have a chance against full out buyers unlike 2-3 years ago now i have plenty of all and i've noticed very gradually my supplies have only increased with time1 point

That pop-up is not aimed at you. The very fact that you logged into the forum and are using it to post your opinions already means that you are more involved in this project and the community than, I'd guess, 90% of the players. The vast majority of people only log into their account to play some battles and complete missions. They don't care about having in-game friends, joining groups/clubs, doing eSports, or even following the V-logs and updates. Those are the people, who may not be aware about the situation with Flash, and who may be encouraged to switch to HTML5 after seeing it. Regardless, I don't see the point in protesting and boycotting HTML5 so relentlessly. This isn't a matter of choice or opinion, because Flash WILL be shut down within a few months, and at that point you will only have two options: move to HTML5 or quit the game. HTML5 will continue improving over time, but there obviously won't be any major changes (like adding an option for the old interface) that would instantly change your opinion about it. Yes, there are issues and design decisions you may not like — it is what it is. So if you want to continue playing Tanki, I would recommend trying HTML5 at least for short periods of time and gradually get used to it, so that you won't have to experience the sudden change when Flash becomes unavailable.1 point
-
I second the complaint of @ALEX22THEBEST - the issue of unwarranted self-destruction when visiting the garage before respawn, which had already been solved, is now back. This issue deters many players from the HTML5 version of the game more than any other issue. Please fix it again, and quickly so.1 point

Hello tankers, and welcome to 'Blast From The Past Interviews'! Here we speak to older players and helpers who have long parted from the game, in an attempt to recall a few good memories, update ourselves on how they're doing, what they're doing, and simply to get to know them if you haven't yet before. Today we're talking to @canadarules, a well known tanker to many old forums and players. He'll be letting us into some of his real life, as well as how he discovered this game oh-so long ago. Read on to discover more! Player Profile Game Name | canadarules Nicknames | None Real Name | Keith Age | 20 Gender | Male Country | Canada Hey canadarules, how’re you doing? Tell the community a bit about yourself. When did you start playing Tanki? How was your experience with it? @canadarules Doing good, Yisroel. I'm a 20 year old Canadian who lives in Toronto, Ontario, Canada. I like playing sports such as soccer, football, hockey, baseball and basketball with my friends. I'm also a fan of the NBA, MLB, NHL and NFL where my favourite teams are the Toronto Raptors, Toronto Blue Jays, Vancouver Canucks and the New Orleans Saints. My favourite healthy food is pasta and my favourite snack is ice cream (because I like the cold here). My favourite animal is a polar bear, because that's all I see here in Canada; polar bears running around going to all of our igloos. I started playing Tanki a long time ago, back in 2011, but have moved on since than due to me starting school and having other things to play such as World of Tanks (Nickname: The_GreatOne, like I was on Tanki a while ago). My experience with Tanki was good as it was a fun game, but it wasn't as competitive as I'd hoped in the eSports department, due to inflexible hours. The game as a whole though was one that will always be remembered. Polar bears are my favourite animal too. In fact, me being from Canada as well, we have three pet polar bears. We let pedestrians pet it anytime, because we Canadians are nice like that. Anyways, moving on. Who were some of your close friends in Tanki? Were they anything like you? And while we’re at that, tell the community what I mean by “like you”; what did people see you as in Tanki? @canadarules My close friends in Tanki were @Rick3836, , @joostcool, @GoldRock, @gfitz, @EternalOnslought, @SuperNick95, @CRRUlES, @C-O-O-L-G-U-Y, @bezdela, @Finesse (formerly LoVe_YoU-BaBy), @X.Z.F (formerly TitaniumFalcon) and @light661. They were all great people in the community who helped me achieve what I wanted to achieve throughout Tanki. Some were a little more quiet than others throughout the community, but their voice could always be heard through me if needed. When you ask if they were all like me, what I would say is that we all got along and had a lot of fun together throughout my time here in Tanki Online. So in a lot of aspects, we were alike but we were all unique people. What I think Yisroel is referring to when he says "like you" is how I was always around the community trying to help out where I could and loved to play the game while having fun, knowing that it was just a game. Not exactly what I was referring to, but okay. What do you remember Tanki as? I believe you recently checked it out again to see how it was doing. Tell new players what major changes you see from back when you used to play. @canadarules I remember when I left Tanki it was still fun, but it wasn't like that first pretty girl you had a crush on. The game was changing to a more Premium and Daily Missions based game, which was good, but they still got rid of a few things like crystal boxes, which they never brought back. Yes, I recently checked out the game again because I got an email saying I need to check the game again or my account is lost, so I guess that's something new. Some major changes that I saw was that the once huge player base has suddenly shrunk at a dramatic pace, and that there were some new changes to the game like private messaging in the game chat, a new way to send messages to friends when offline (gifts), no new hulls but some new turrets, some weird rectangle thing (looked like a money grab), and a whole bunch of Christmas trees from when I last quit. The rectangle thing your talking about are modules. Not so long after you left the game, the developers split paints from their protections, and installed modules. Now you can pair any paint with any protection and play. Now paint prices are based purely on looks. Yes, there are two new turrets; Striker and Magnum, two very powerful turrets, which have actual animated shells. Magnum can’t turn horizontally, it aims vertically, so it’s the perfect turret for noobs who never turn their turret either way. There’s also a Gold Box supply, which lets you drop Golds. Lots has changed since you’ve left. But on to the next question, you were a pretty famous figure in the game, and particularly on the forum, and not just because “you helped players out with their questions and queries”, like you said above. I recall quite a few incidences where you could’ve been considered a professional troll. What do you have to say about those “rare” occurrences? Do you pride yourself for being a sacred troll? @canadarules Well, I guess that it's true; I did do a lot of trolling, and I do pride myself on doing these trolls in a fun manner where people would learn to not be so one sided. In addition to this, I kind of found it funny when people would over react to certain trolls of mine. For example, when Tanki removed custom names for battles, no one could name their battles 'XP / BP" anymore, to let people know not to use other equipment (this was going back before battle formats were implemented). People were mad about that change, and complained about it on the forum, where I used to troll them. I told them it wasn't worth it to complain, because you can just let others do it for you (everyone was mad, so a lot of people were already complaining, so why should one complain if everyone else could do it for him). Sometimes I'd tell those people who were complaining to look back at their posts, and I'd tell them they weren't smart for wasting their time arguing, while they could've just let others argue for them instead. Finally I'd like to thank the noob forum moderators for making it so easy for me to troll on the forum, because they didn't have anyone from the EST timezone. I was able to write whatever I wanted to at night and get away with it for hours on hand. Glad to know you don’t regret being the biggest troll on the forum at the time. I had a couple of situations with you myself. I remember I posted a list of people I’d miss when I officially leave Tanki, and well, this is what happened. [Warning, I was and I admit to be a total cringe back then, and I regret it big time!] *Click* What are your thoughts on that? @canadarules Well my thoughts on that are... What do you think, looking back on it? My thoughts are mainly that I was joking around. My thoughts are that I was a total cringe kid who failed to realize it was a joke. @canadarules See? You learned from it. "I learned something from canadrules." I can imagine me going back in time and telling two-years-ago-me that, and I’d be like “What can I possibly learn from that guy?” I guess something. But anyways, getting back on track, how did you discover the game? What are some of you extremely early memories of the game? @canadarules I discovered the game along time ago while looking for war strategy games online and Tanki came up, so I decided to try it out. I liked to play shooter games and still do so it was a good fit for me. My early memories of the game was struggling to understand why a Shaft could one-shot me. Some of my best early memories of the game came from Fort Knox III which they changed the name of to Edinburgh. That's where I learned to play in a fast and active way, where I put pressure on the opponent not to miss or else I would slaughter them. It was at a time where there were very few tank choices. But my favorite memory of all was that I was always able to play with Marshals (the highest rank at the time). Meaning that I would go up against the best, even when I was a Recruit, which was fun. Ah, the times before the historical rebalance. You probably had your first M3 by Warrant Officer 1! Speaking of which, what was your first M3? And what’s your favorite map which is no longer in the game? There’s quite a handful to choose from. @canadarules My first M3 was most likely Twins, but I could be remembering it wrong, as I did get Firebird and Smoky M3 before the rebalance too. My favourite map that they removed is Galley. The arcs over the map were fun to play on and on top of that it was such a creative map that it took tactical skill to play on it, unlike on Sandbox. [Taken from the wiki] Gallery was a spectacular map. I never had an account back then, but I remember watching my friend play on it when it was still around. Getting back into real life though, where are you currently holding? What are you doing, and what are you planning on doing in the future? @canadarules Currently going to college / university and am planning to go into business someday. How do you like where you live (Canada)? Would you rather live somewhere else, at least for a short while? @canadarules I like where I live in Canada. I live in Etobicoke, which is in the GTA, also known as the Greater Toronto Area in Ontario. We have parks right next my house and I also have the subway near me, meaning it's easy for me to transport myself around the city. In addition to that, I like how the weather changes from season to season, because I like to have a balance of cold and warm weather so that I can have fun in the snow as well as have fun in the Sun. B) I would not like to live anywhere else for these reasons. Plus I like where I live because I can go to my igloo, where I can talk to my polar bears and penguins. Very nice indeed. Igloos simply are such fun, I must agree. But when every house on your block is an igloo, you get used to it. Anyhow, one last question before we wrap this up. Do you have any intention on coming back to the game one day? If so, when? If no, why? @canadarules Nope, I have no intentions of coming back to play the game full time again, because of the fact that a lot of my Tanki buddies have since quit the game. When I used to play, I'd usually play with buddies to have more fun. We would all be on TeamSpeak, having fun and joking around. In addition to that, the clan system in Tanki still looks like it's the same... meaning it looks like a total joke. You can really see the difference in a successful eSports system, which is implemented in other games, where all time zones are treated differently and each region is split up so that it doesn't create a bias towards one timezone. Besides, I won't be coming back because I have moved on in life and I am having fun at university as well as looking forward to the next chapter in my life. Well, glad to here you’ve moved on and are having fun in the real world. I’ll have to try that one day myself, but until I join you there, thanks for taking the time to participate in this interview. Really appreciate it! Have a good one! @canadarules You too Yis, see you! That concludes this interview. Hope you enjoyed it and give us your comments down bellow on whether you did or didn't. How can we improve this series, who'd you like to see interviewed next? Do you like igloos? Tell us below. More from this series: - Blast From The Past Interviews | deadtoyou1 point

Tankers! After server maintenance at 02:00 UTC on October 12th all game servers will receive a big update - Unified Battle List and Chat Channels. We’ll share what to expect from this important release below. Unified Battle List From the beginning game servers in Tanki Online were isolated from each other. To find the battle you want, often you had to spend a lot of time switching between servers and scrolling through the lists. With Unified Battle List you will no longer need to manually switch between servers. All battles created along all servers, including regular and PRO-battles, now will be shown in the same list of active battles. Join the battle you like, and while the game is loading you will be automatically transferred to the correct server. At the time of the update release the button to switch between servers will be removed from the interface, and the number of the server will be removed from the battle links. Unified Chat and Chat channels With the introduction of the unified battle list there’s no need to have separated chats for each server, and to make chatting easier, in-game chat will be unified as well - all messages from all servers will be sent to the same chat. Of course, when everyone speaks in the same place at the same time, chatting could be problematic. This is why we’re also introducing thematic chat channels. Instead of the “Chat” button in the game lobby, you will now see the button to choose a chat channel. Pressing on the button will open a list of available channels, and each channel is a chat in itself. As always, you can access chat after the Master Sergeant rank and up. The chat rules and language selection remain the same as before, including public and private messages. With the update released you will be able to access the following channels: General - analogue of the old chat, you can speak here about anything; New Players - shown in the list until you reach Sergeant-Major; Parkour - for those who like to touch the sky; XP/BP/Other - for the fans of format battles; News - discussion about the latest news, discounts and updates; Q&A - advice and help from the experienced players and moderators; Game Reports - here you can send reports about game violations; LF Friends - here you can find new battle and chat friends; LF Battle - here you can share battle links and join battles; Events - contests discussion; eSports - tournaments, pro-advices and everything eSports; If you have ideas for new chat channels or feedback on the current list of channels - we welcome them in this topic. Launch the game after server maintenance on October 12th and join the new and easy to use Unified Battle List, try out the new Chat and tell us what you think! HOTFIXES Chat Channels Update, October 13th: Added "General 1", "General 2", "General 3" "Parkour Club" changed to "Parkour" "Contests" changed to "Events" We continue to work on lag, "Play" button and disconnect issues. FAQ Q: Will the regular, non-PRO battles remain in the Unified Battle List? A: Yes, they will stay. Q: Will I be able to filter the Unified Battle List by choosing only PRO or non-PRO battles? A: No. You will be able to filter the list as before, choosing battle modes - DM, TDM, CTF, CP. Q: I got disconnected, lagged out or closed the browser/client, how can I return to the same battle and not lose progress? A: You can simply launch the game again, and you will return to the same battle. Q: Why can’t I access Chat channels? A: Probably, you haven’t reached the rank of Master Sergeant yet. Q: How to use Chat channels in battle? A: The updates affects only the in-game lobby chat, and does not change how battle chat works. Q: Can I discuss other things than what the name of the chat channels says? A: Yes, you can. We do not stop you from discussing other topics and don’t punish for it. Chat channels are recommendations for everyone in the chat.1 point

Hello Everyone! Another Day Another Crazy Machine, I call It BREEZE, It’s a Lean Mean Fan Propelled Machine, It Has Massive Impact Force and a Fast reload time+a speedy Turret But immensely Lacks Damage and is a little Short ranged (a little More than firebird)and to add to that, The Recoil of The Turret Is Crazy (A lot More than that Of shaft) But It Has Infinite Ammo supply to Make up, However With Every second Past The Recommended Ammo Limit, The recoil Keeps Increasing and increasing and increasing till it could flip your tank over even if you had a Mammoth. So here are your Choices If U want to Attack,Select a light Hull and risk Flipping Over,Or select A heavy Hull And Get pounded Because of your Slow Speed And Short Range.so I would Prefer A medium Hull Like Viking. But This Turret Is Really Good For Point Blank flag Defence. As it Can Easily flip A Light tank over, But Finds It a little Difficult Flipping Heavier ones, Another Feature Is when You Upgrade it to have enough impact Force, It could Make Light Tanks Fly In Sky. (NOTE)the Impact Force Won't Work on Teammates so no trolling! Pros B): -Good for Defence. –Massive Impact Force. -Infinite Ammo(Like Vulcan But has a faster Reload). -Fast Turret Speed. -Flip over Tanks easily. Cons <_<: -Little Damage. -Extremely High Recoil. -Not Better Than Firebird or Freeze at attacking.1 point
