I've got an easy first round group.... but the only friend I could face in the early rounds is 0uchie or Goldeneagle, nobody else until the semi-finals, which I probably won't reach anyway. :?

First of all, that picture is just a cool picture. I'm pretty sure that aint real gameplay. Secondly, playtanki.com is not an official site. It's a good site, yes, but it cannot be 100% trusted. Thirdly, tanki online themselves have confirmed 100% that we will keep our exp. If we go to recruits, that is not just impossible but also stupid and will lose tanki a lot of money. Fourthly, if you have been keeping up with the news properly, you will have found that modules have been expected by many of the members of the community and the staff. The same with the smoky/shaft thing, that is also what many of us have been expecting for ages. Finally, I think that 2.0 will come out after december 2012, which is not an option on your poll.

I found a hacker today... wasn't able to take a video, because of the PC I was using not having a video recorder, but it is clear that the hackings haven't completely stopped. Yes, they have been reduced, but they aren't completely finished, not by any means.

I remember the days when polygon was unlocked at warrant officer 1 and was NEVER played. I remember seeing it in the drop-down create list, and I was like "Whoa, who plays that?". Because nobody ever did.

Add both would be my opinion, although really Polygon is a perfect DM match and other styles won't be as popular, like they aren't in Highland.

As an aside, I'm quite certain from my alternativa editor experience that to create a winter version of a map you need to start all over again with design...

Remove your entry then, if you don't want to play. If you do want to play, go ahead, no-one's asking you not to. Even if you do get owned, I'm sure it'll be fun to play a wholly railgun-wasp battle.

Thus, don't enter. Not every competition is aimed at everyone. For example, imagine if in the artist competition I had complained because I lack ability to draw? Or in the Crystallizer competition I had complained because I didn't have enough time to play to get the big funds? If your not good enough to enter this one... don't enter it. No-one's asking you to enter it, and if you enter with rubbish stuff your just using up a space someone else wanted, and they'll enjoy it more. Wait till the next contest: one will come round soon enough that is perfect for you.

What I don't get is why people do a "Ricochet" guide or something. Unless you write about 5000 words, you really cannot cover all aspects of ricochet. Shouldn't you make a guide such as "How to use m0 ricochet in Fort Knox III CTF" or something like that. You can then cover all aspects of what you are writing a guide about. Writing a guide like that would be far more interesting, helpful and simple than writing an over-arching ricochet guide. Try doing that - it'd be way more helpful IMO.
