Wanna snipe? Upgrade your Rail to M3 and then switch to Viking (or Mammoth) + Shaft combination. It's a sniping machine. PS: Thunder is not really for sniping, it's more middle to close range gun.

Game economics is simple: you can easily buy one turret and one hull for crystals you earn in game. But to buy every single turret and hull you have to donate.
-
I've got crystals on my other account 2 days in a row - yesterday and today. Envy me.
-
It is already perfectly overpowered I would say

You can't change your name, unless it violates Tanki Online rules (e.g. contains foul language or advertising). You will have an option to change your name when transferring your account to Tanki Online 2.0, but the game wasn't announced yet and its release date is unknown.

Choosing from Smoky and Firebird choose Twins. Cos it rules. PS: If you've got Smoky M0 and you are thinking about buying Firebird M0 - buy it! Cos it's cheap. Then level up to unlock Twins and try it too. All these guns are cheap at M0 modifications, and each successive gun is better than the previous one. Test them all, choose the one you like and stick to upgrading it.

Of course there are the best combinations. That doesn't mean these combinations will suit any tanker, you should take into account your style, skill of playing with each gun, etc. To name some: Wasp + Firebird = the best combination for capturing enemy flags in CTF and for playing DMs on tight maps like e.g. Boombox. Wasp + Railgun = the best combination for training your skill with Railgun, one of the best combos for playing CTF games on big maps on low ranks. Hunter or Titan + Twins = the best combinations for playing DMs on low ranks. Later on Viking or Mammoth + Twins. Dictator + Railgun = cheapass combo for playing without donating a cent. Dictator or Viking + Isida = great combos for playing against low-rank tankers using supplies. Hornet + Isida = the most profitable combination of playing CTF games. Hornet + Freeze = the best combination for secretly caping enemy flags in CTF. Still great in DMs. Viking + Ricochet = the best combination for forcibly capturing enemy flags and returning friendly flags in CTF. Viking or Mammoth + Thunder = the best combinations for playing CTF and DM games with Thunder respectively. Viking or Mammoth + Shaft = the best combinations for playing CTF and DM games with Shaft respectively. Mammoth + Freeze = the best combination for defending friendly flag in CTF. Same thing with protective paints.

Smoky and Dictator are crap. Both individually and together :? Best and cheap solutions: Twins + Hunter -> Thunder + Mammoth / Viking (for DM / TDM) or -> Isida + Hornet (for CTF)
-
I always liked playing on Wasp. Requires more skill and gives more fun.

You'll get points for healing with 50% bonus. So healing is more profitable than killing.
-
Thunder M3 sale would be wise, cos this turret looks more like a tank gun, as opposed to other sci-fi weapons. So the sale's gonna be good for game image. IMHO.
-
Hornet is good for secretly caping enemy flags. Good for playing CTF games with Freeze and Isida. Viking is good for everything else.
-
Freeze M0 inflicts more damage, though it lacks reload and turret swing speed. If playing in CTF it's better than Firebird, because of increased firepower and freezing ability. If playing Deathmatches, then Firebird may be better.

Because old shaft was overpowered and dull. You are welcome

1. Thunder M2 has more potential, than Railgun M3. 2. Thunder and Railgun (and Shaft) are not for attackers. You should consider using Ricochet or Freeze. 3. Thunder and Railgun are not for 1 shoting enemies. Railgun is good for 1 shooting tier 1 tanks and heavily wounded tier 2 tanks (it often takes 3 shots from Railgun to kill healthy Viking M3). You should consider using Shaft.
-
For tier 2 guns M2 is always better than M1, so Thunder is obviously a better choice. Upgrading Thunder to max is also way cheaper than Shaft. Playing with Thunder also involves more traditional gameplay. I personally don't advice buying Shaft as the first tier 2 weapon. The only reasonn to buy Shaft is if you are a camper and you want to camp all the time.

Mammoth is good in CTF, but it lacks speed to quickly rush forward and help your team with the attack. That's what Viking actually can. With Viking you can quickly change the position in case if your flag is stolen and you have to snipe down enemy caper. With Mammoth you should be very good in selecting decent positions for defending your flag. Viking has more speed, hence it is more forgiving. Speed = armor. Also you don't really need than amount of armor Mammoth has when playing CTF or TDM. Though having better speed is always helpful. Mammoth isn't really slow, in terms of speed Mammoth M3 is similar to Hunter M3. But it's still 50% slower compared to Viking. For me Viking is an ideal universal solution. Mammoth has its strong points, in some cases it's way better than Viking, but to get maximum advantage of it you should focus on using these strong points. If you prefer Deathmatches over team games, like playing as a defender in CTF and you're a drugger, then Mammoth is an obvious choice. But if you're a CTF man, you like dynamic fights helping your teammates to attack enemy base, and chase enemy capers, etc. than choosing Viking seems like better solution.

In cases when a gun gets improved there are no refunds :)

It inflicts 110 HP of damage at full charge, which means it takes one shot to kill any Hornet or Dictator M2 or Viking M0-M1, and one shot at full charge + 1 shot in arcade mode to take down Dictator M3 or Viking M2. Which is acceptable. But with enemy Vikings M3 and Mammoths things are getting more complicated. A good point is that when using a scope you can aim at the target being under enemy fire, estimate damage it takes and effectively steal a frag at the last moment. That's what Shaft is best of.

Mammoth is better in DM and at drugwars - it's getting a bigger bonus from First Aid and Double Armor. Thanks to its armor you'll be able to stay on firing position longer and get more kills. Viking is a versatile solution, better used in TDM and CTF. By using its speed and agility you'll be able to both support attacks on enemy base and play as a defender. Having a Viking M3 you'll be able to play with any turret with no restrictions. I have both hulls M3 and still play mostly on Viking. Even in DMs. For me more speed = more fun. But Mammoth + Thunder on Highland map is magnificent.
