[Guide] AlternativaEditor
Kyoko_Kirigiri replied to Kyoko_Kirigiri in [Guide] AlternativaEditor Archive
You can find AlternativaEditor Here Q: AlternativaEditor lags? A: This happens when you are looking at too big a part of the map, and are having to display many props, it can be solved by always being zoomed in, or changing the the physical model of each prop ("View" "Collision geometry" (Ctrl+2). Q: Sprite disappears? A: This happens when you have snapping disabled, and have moved a sprite, it sometime makes it look like the sprite is underneath the grid, and it can be fixed by using click+drag+V with the sprite selected, and snapping disabled. Q: Undo/Redo glitch's? A: The Undo/Redo buttons will undo/redo the last action you performed, but not on the tile you originally performed it, on the tile(s) which you have selected. Q: How to save the maps I made? A: Go to " File " then "Export map (v 1.0)" File: File New: New map (Ctrl +N) Export Tanks map 1.х: Export map (Ctrl+T) Export Tanks map 3.х: Export tanks map 3.x (Ctrl+shift+T) Import Tanks map: Import map (Ctrl+I) Batch export: Batch export Edit: Edit Undo: Undo (Ctrl+Z) Redo: Redo (Ctrl+Y) Clear: Deletes all props (Ctrl+alt+C) (glitchy) Select all: Selects all props(Ctrl+A) View: View Visual Geometry: shows visible model of all props (Ctrl+1) Collision Geometry: shows the physical model of all props (Ctrl+2) Show bound boxes: shows/hides the boundaries of props (Ctrl+ Show grid: Shows/hides grid (G) Show bound boxes: Shows the area of the Prop/s Show Layers: Shows/Hides the functions Library: Loading librarys Clear and load...: Removes all loaded librarys from the list, and loads a new one (ctrl+alt+L) Load...: Loads a library (ctrl+L) Options: Options Props intersection check: Prop intersection check All intersections allowed: Allow all Same props intersections denied: All intersections of the same prop denied All intersections denied: Deny all Snap: Snap toggle (N) Help: opens help Esc — Clear selection Delete, C — Delete selected prop X, Z — Rotate selected prop or cursor Drag, arrows — Moving selected prop or cursor Shift + drag — Copy and moving selected prop V + drag, W, S — Vertical moving Space — Paste prop F — Mirror texture Q — Select conflict props Middle mouse button + drag — Panning Alt + middle — Rotate camera Link domination spawn point: Ctrl+Click on spawn point, then Ctrl+Click on check point Enables/disables snapping (allows the placement of props outside of grid) (only for sprites, respawn points and flags) (you can also turn this on and off by going to "Options" and clicking "Snap") Shows/hides physical model of props Shows/hides grid Open/closes "properties" bar, allows you to change the design for props Hides selected prop(s) Un-hides all props Decides what props you can select Controls To choose a prop to place, click on it and then click in the "workspace". Mix tile props, don’t repeatedly use the same tile prop. Don’t overlap props (you can overlap spawn points and flags but nothing else). Try not to have too many open spaces. Make sure that both sides are equal, and one side doesn't have a huge advantage against the other. Try and not make your map symmetrical. Make sure the flag positions are easily known. Place spawn points on the ground. Place bonus drops 2-3 above the ground. Try and keep your map under 2.8 MB (2867.2 KB), which is a good guideline for size, and also the actual limit for maps. Its Still not finished .. there's a bit more to do -
