you are mistaken my friend. the only thing that matters in making a "strong" password - is how big is the password-space. (how unique is my password ? - one of X, because that is how many tries I need to try them all) for 7 letter alpha-numeric-case sensitive: 7^(10+26+26) the english lang has ~ 600K words lets say our dictionary also has lots of slang and expressions too, just to make our password stronger. so 1200 K word dict. (you really don't have that many. so this is an upper boundary) to find a combination of 5 word - 5 * 1200000. (the empty word, is also a word in our dictionary, thus we can find passwords of 1 to 5 words) that is nothing for a password-space. very insecure (the number above has 50 digits in it. a bit more :) ).

since I did and do some security: that is simply incorrect. a dictionary attack on multiple words is TONS faster then cracking a case sensitive, alpha numeric password at correct size (7+ chars) the counting of "bits" is wrong in your meme. funny meme though.

what battle ? this is nothing like a hacker vs. security battle. nobody is expecting the programmers to secure the flash platform. its so exposed and easy to manipulate, there's no point. but hello ? some server-side checks ? this is communication 101. you never accept data from the user without verification, its so basic its pathetic.

dont be naive as to how smart people working in info-security are. returning to my earlier statement - the programmers are a bunch of amateurs. creating a secure code (not a 100% - no such thing, but a better one) is hard, but not impossible. this little game is WAY easier then a browser. a lot less communication and functionality is needed here. your second proposal isn't bad at all. A - they dont necessarily need to hire him. just spend 10$ and buy his hacks, run them in a controlled environment and see where are the faults. B - since they obviously lack knowledge in info-sec, and want to become a big business, hiring the guy isn't a bad move.

don't count on it. the programmers are a bunch of amateurs. I feel sorry for the mods. doing a dirty-job for free.

games are a lot more balanced now. no noobs wondering around as cannon fodders, helping nobody. and no marshels jumping in and out and trashing the game. this is a good thing. private battles should be limitless, and - problem solved.

I don't understand why would you write a C program for something meant for an Excel sheet. all this "program" does is display simple calculations... being a programmer also means choosing the right tool for the job.

the "punishments" are too weak. 1 month ban ? its a joke. they just open a new account. EVERY cheater should be permanently IP BANNED. I heard all that BS about "its my brother/uncle/dog and not me". well boo-hoo. then beat your brother for getting you banned. the mods here are doing nothing to solve the problem, and the dev's are doing nothing too. (flag hack for example - takes 5 min. to add a flag/min ratio and auto-ban people for abuse)

no. but they have to set the bar somewhere I guess... I don't care if they lower it to say WO 2, but I support the limitation act. also - all the hackers get ban - so they just make a new account (like a Sargent) - and still kill everybody. this will help to keep them out longer.

I did. too many noobs on too many maps. everybody open a full rank battle - and then the rank limits just aren't used and battles are not balanced. this is no longer a game of skill, just a game of picking the right team. this helps to make the game fun again and not just "join the right team".

I caught 2 gold box so far.. (first liet.) and I support this. 2 reasons - ------------- 1 - the marshals raids ruin the game for the real players. winning a long (3Hr. +) match has nothing to do with skill. its just luck who would join the teams for goldboxes. 2 - the goldbox is not fair for all player. for shaft its hardest to win. for freeze the easiest. also - people with mammoth has better shot then people with other tanks. regardless of rank and skill. its just a sitting game. and a freeze-mammoth can sit there the longest.

problem - Hacker are a big problem. they ruin all the fun & steal all the funds. every time you have to record them and post it. it takes time and you lose the game. solution - TANKI should offer a new contest - BOUNTY HUNT ! for each video proof of a hacker - get 1000 crystals. this will make EVERYBODY hunt down the hackers - they won't play anymore :twisted:

I don't have the funds yet, but I think it should be tested - just to know if the 40-50 % is helping in escaping from freeze.. if you get stuck - killing the other guy doesnt really helps, somebody else will finish me off. cause otherwise, it seems that rustle is a better deal as its more all-around.
