Noble, I've played a word game called "similes", and this is how it works. While it doesn't follow the exact grammatical rules, it's still fun and amusing. After all, if it really matters that much, why don't we just change this game's name?

If the leader has to become a major in a month, what's the point of an unofficial clan? I think the worthiness of an unofficial clan should be based on members, not rank.

Agree with that. An expiration date is a really good idea actually. That would solve all the "one-member" clans.

IMOP, it's never too late to close a clan. However, I don't think that all the unofficial clans should be closed. In terms of what I know about the Ironclads clan, it's unofficial, yet has avid, enthusiastic members, who come to the xat and contribute on the forum. It would be wrong to close a thriving, growing clan in which there are participating members. If a clan is dead, of course it should be closed. Why leave it open for some random person to bump it months after the last post? However, I think there should be a policy, in which an unofficial clan must have a member(s) who is/are close to becoming a major. (i.e. a Lieutenant) This could help prevent (I hate to use the word) noob clans from popping into existence like mushrooms, since higher ranked players wouldn't want to become part of a clan led by a low ranking player.

Guys, just so you know, I'll still be on tanki this coming week. My summer programs aren't the kind in which you have to sleep overnight. They start in the morning and end in the evening. I can still be on in the late afternoon, but not enough I feel to actively lead a clan. Go_Ireland, please tell me a time which we can coordinate to make this clan official.

I think that's an excellent idea. But if everyone fills out the application form the same way, how can we tell spammers apart from good players? However, I'd say that I'd go through the applicant's profile and check out the topics created, posts, etc. of that player to see if they are game for entering.
