When one body exerts a force on a second body, the second body simultaneously exerts a force equal in magnitude and opposite in direction on the first bodyIs this really true? Is there good proof, or is it all just nonsense?people really think a floor is pushing back????I have to laughAlmost-MechanicalEngineer here, Punch a wall

Which entries on the left, influence the entries on the right - and how? (a minus "-" means, the parameter is not affected) | normal damage | temp | heating rate | burning damage | ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ attackers Double Power | *2 | - | ?? | - | defenders Double Armor | *0,5 | - | ?? | *0,5 | defenders Health Box | neutralized | set to 0 | paused | neutralized | defenders Paint | reduced | - | reduced | reduced | ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------I figured it's probably done by the same percentage, there wouldn't really be a point to do it any other way... then again, it'd be really nice to know :P

That is what it meant for.
Firebird vs Freeze should be up this weekend.
-
Awesome stuff, guys. Now I'm gonna stick with my beloved fire for ever! :P
Ahh, glad to be of service mate :P

That is what it meant for.
oh boy, thanks a ton!
This thread may be closed as the moderators deem fit, I think pretty much everything has been answered and discussed.
-
I averaged it out over 5 second intervals, less data = easier to understand = easier to convince people that Firebird is broken
-
This is an interesting topic. I might even try and do some maths of my own if I feel like it...
pls all my topics are interesting

I see it more like a cooperation, as you have been the one starting this here.. asking for details and digging in..
and also you found the mistakes in my inital versions, that would have been unspotted elsewise :)
ps: there was some time when I did Excel for a living.. :P
Takes two to clap :P I'm only looking for a DPS chart that every non-math-savvy person can understand.

Oh boy Oh boy, you're definitely getting credit for everything in this thread.
P.S. While we're at it, I wonder if can give me permission to use the publicly available information over here for my website :P -
Banned because I made this thread.

Stuff above
Aha, I ended up wtih 776.95 hitpoints of total damage. mhmm
EDIT:
1. isn't 72x5 = 360 base damage
2. in my case, total burn damage is 416.95
-
Maybe I am wrong, but I think this is not much of an issue.
It is like an addition of different functions.
But I think it is easier as an interative implementation in a spreadsheet tool, where one cell bases on the cell before
Exactly how I'm doing this, also gets me graphs :P
-
sounds like
BurnDamage = 29*Temp + 1
If (Temp == 0) then BurnDamage := 0
I meant the cooling and heating being applied at the same time. 0.05/s and 0.4/s after the first second
-
Almost. At heat = 0 damage = 1, but it is forced to 0. It is important if you draw a graph. Any heat above 0 will deal 1+ damage. Damage between 0 and 1 is impossible.
Look above :D It is 0.05/s always and just to make things a little more confusing it does applies even when Firebird is heating up a tank. As I said, Temperature is whole another entity.
1. Oh my, Oh my, that's actually great.
2. Aha, so that kind of changes the graph from a straight line, mhmm. This is going to be fun.
-
^ Exactly why I'm asking this :P I once did an in-depth guide of Freeze vs Firebird and I'd like to do another one for my website.
-
This is how it works.
Oh my God you have no idea how useful that is. Just a couple more questions and I can finish my business!
So when heat = 0, damage = 0, and when heat = 1, damage = 30/s - Correct?
This makes stuff fairly easy, just one more question. Does the cooling happen while the tank is under fire?
So if I use my M3 Firebird for 5 seconds, does that mean there was a 0.032x5 = 0.128 units of heat being reduced during those 5 seconds or is it only when Firebird stops shooting? This is only helpful for first 2 seconds because after the 3rd second it'll reach cap and the 0.032 will have minimal effect no effect.Cooling rate is 0.032/s or is it 0.032/s incremental? I mean... is it 0.032 for first sec and then 0.064 for second sec, 0.096 for third sec...
I guess I wanna know what the unit itself is to figure out how long the heat damage will last.
-
First thing you need to know is that Heat damage is not property of Firebird. It is property of Temperature. Firebird can heat-up tank, but it is Temperature dealing all the damage.
That can explain why Heat damage might be inconsistent. Firebird heating-up tanks while attacking (0.4 per second (wiki says it is tick per second, but this is incorrect)) but Temperature dealing damage by it's own time counter once per second. This makes calculating exact damage lil bit complicated.
Well I don't mind complicated; I just don't know what "0.4 per second" means, back when they reworked Firebird I did some experiments with my friends to get a rough estimate of the damage so I have some idea of how the damage works, just missing exact numbers.
I know there are several ticks per second in TankiOnline (Freeze doesn't do damage each second, it's divided into parts of a second)
-
What is it exactly do you need to know?
Firebird's "burn" damage calculations, I mean, how is the damage calculated, if i use it for 1 second? 2 seconds? etc.

You can see it in your garage and fo 2x for double damage
Those numbers don't really tell about the exact damage that firebird can do, unless someone here knows the formulae and stuff.
Yaay you're back
What about the turret descriptions in the garage
Again, same problem, the numbers on Firebird just don't add up. I might just give up and go for twins vs ricochet at this rate.
-
We all know which one does more damage but does anyone have any exact numbers and calculations? There have to be some carried out by someone out there. I just want to know if anyone has worked on this before I do it myself.
Yes, I'm making a comprehensive comparison between the two weapons and am asking if there's anything to go on, the wiki itself is really vague, there's no information about how the actual fire damage is calculated which has created some really problematic results in my initial calculations with numbers saying that Firebird is doing about 2x the damage of Freeze....
P.S. Yea I'm back

Alright Saturday update
@Rohit_1997 has done quite a few hull and turret pages, hats off to him and do take a look, I've started working on moving the drugs calculator over to TA, after which I'll work on the so called Micrograde calculator.
If anyone knew me from way-back-then, you're definitely familiar with my "Firebird vs Freeze" post which was basically me along with a ton of graphs and math. I'll be working on that all day tomorrow morning. Look forward to it!

o.O I'm not really interested in arguing over this, you might have been active but everyone else wasn't.For a employee to be active the manager must be active too. <You failed in this task after several days. No offence bro :P Btw I can still see my work there
Update #1:
I have a small group gathered up and you should be seeing content appear from tonight. Here's our "logo" for the time being.
