Why a 50% sale when we can have 100% funds?

I think we've done enough debating for now, we won't fix our problems by talking about them, all day. Now let's start working to some solutions to the problems that have come up throughout our talks. I think a safe place to start would be asking ourselves, 'What is spam/flood?' Saying either of those words could mean quite a few things, and is still a broad category to define forum posts. We need to draw the line somewhere between spam, and acceptable posts in the Off-Topic section. I'll start by saying 'Off-Topic' doesn't mean No-Topic, and if posts have nothing to discuss, it's clearly spam/flood. Even if it's not apparent what the topic is, there's still something to talk about if there's work put into the making of it. As long as there's something to talk about, it should be fine.

Title should be straight forward enough, I don't need to explain that... do I? I'm going to say it's because no other object around us contains the colour blue, and it's the only one not taken. Trees have green, apples have red, bananas have yellow, etc. The blue you see in the water is the sky reflecting off of it, blueberries aren't blue if you remember when it was debunked by scientists. Use your imagination, make it sound crazy. And more importantly... have fun!

We were all new at some point, just look back to that time and ask yourself if you did look and read over the post before replying. I don't know if I did or not it was so long ago, so I'm asking anyone who does remember to go check that.

And yet the minimum rank for basic posting rights/privileges keeps on rising by the year. If you want new players to join it has to be encouraged, but this only makes it harder for "new players" to join.

It's not recent dislike, but the past 2 years at least where it has gotten bad. We used to make creative and funny posts, but then moderation was upped in mid-2013 and the constant locks/deletion of those topics came in. We're too used to knowing the fate of such topics at this point to where we don't bother making them. We can only get by by looking at the few remaining long-running topics (Photo of The Day) and making slight changes to the title (Video of The Day) so they will remain open. Users are really taking advantage of this, if your topic's title contains a question it will remain open (basically all of werty's topics). Look back at the 'golden days' of these forums, compare them to today and find what the difference is. Can't be that hard, can it? Surely the forums have gotten more active since 2012 so losing people isn't the problem. Something's holding back our creative minds, and it is right in front of us. But what is it I wonder? hmmmmm.

Also, there have been other players posting in this thread, are you looking at their posts too? This one looks like a contribution to the discussion.

Interesting topic I haven't come across yet for some reason, but it isn't about one topic but multiple. Some question the game's legality in certain posts but others are about the rules. I can only hope this topic won't be merged there as it's a broad category and seems to be all over the place. But the meaning of it has been twisted so much I don't know what it is anymore, wish it was still going on.

Also, I can still contact latvian_killer if you need him. But I'm not sure he would want to talk on here anymore.

By the way, it would be great for Cedric to ask the community for their opinions on the moderators as their image doesn't seem too nice at the moment. He's done his evaluation on how the place is run I've heard and he doesn't see anything wrong, but that's him and he's a single person who essentially runs the place. If you're running say, a country, and people have issues about something in the place. Would you know of them? The people experiencing them would, but not always yourself. If the country prevents public speech about issues it wouldn't get known even further and how would anyone then know about it? Exactly what looks like is happening here.

Instead of hiding threads the moderators move them to places no one will look, like this area where everyone with a mind knows won't produce anything good. They're starting to find a new way of hiding me again.

What are you trying to hide by locking the topic? I didn't get a chance to explain how your system isn't working in 2016. [spoiler ]Blocked the name so it isn't about a specific player (yet another dumb rule other websites don't have, but you need an excuse to lock topics). I notice how in one of the last lines this user wrote I have to check the definitions, well I did before posting that and it isn't up to what you say it is. You see a topic titled for example, "hi" and the post is the same thing. You would ban/warn that person for flood even though it's ONE topic. A pointless one but flood is flooding the page full of the same thing. You might lock it because it's pointless, but it has a point to say 'hi' which shows another flaw in your outdated system. If you just say 'trolling' it's too vague, the meaning of that word has been twisted over the past 12 or so years to the point where it can be anything. For example, two people are chatting and it goes like this: [Player 1] Hi mom [Player 2] im not ur mom [Player 1] Sorry mom [Player 2] I SED I NOT UR MOM [Player 1] Okay dad That example would be one form of trolling, it can also be compared to posting links to a rickroll (2008 anyone?) or other 'troll' things. [Player 1] (Youtube link, probably a rickroll) [Player 2] OMG NOOB [Player 3] stupid It doesn't seem rule breaking in any way because and it isn't, it's because no one knows the meaning of trolling anymore and how to identify it. I'm not saying that should be banned, but that's what it is. Here is another which the game moderators would ban: [Title]: (swearing here with capslock) : (swearing here with capslock) {This would also be flooding most of the forum sections} The players (and some moderators) would call the above a troll, but it's just an inappropriate flooder/flamer/case of expletive aggravation. Everyone calls aggravation a 'troll' thing, but those who are hired as professional trolls would classify those two as different things as they know the meaning. Sadly, most people here do not. As for impersonation, by that I mean players pointing out what rules are broken in the same format every other thread, even if it's borderline and not rule breaking sometimes. IF A RULE IS BROKEN LET IT DIE THE NORMAL WAY, YOU DON'T NEED TO WRITE YOUR POINTLESS EXPLANATION FOR SOMEONE ELSE'S JOB. I'm not sending this to the team via PM because I want the users of this forum to weigh in if the fear of them being moderated isn't here. We need a normal discussion about how this place is run, unless discussing rules isn't allowed, but that only happens in Soviet Russia, right? We can't improve without it and this place has been dead the past 4 years for a reason... we all know why. If you move this topic to the damned "problems & solutions" area again to hide it from players, I'll post it here again after hiding that one.

They get their application declined because they're 9 years old, but that won't stop them it seems. Here's your average example. The best part is, the moderators applaud players for trying to be them upon locking a topic instead of moderating them. Someone needs to re-define several words to the team, such as 'flood,' 'trolling,' and 'impersonation' because it doesn't look like they get it.
