lol, these guys with avatar are chat moderators, developer, admins, map maker and advisor. you can see different signs next to the avatar, for different jobs.

1. it is possible to slide with a real tank, did it myself with a leopard 2 a 5. 2. we do not need it here. less lag is good, so a useless thing like sliping and drifting is n ot worth to add.
