I'm creating this post for all players who're hunting for XT equipment. In Episode 62 of the V-LOG, we've been given a great explanation by @Serene about the best strategy to hunt for XT hulls and turrets. I think it it's a bit circuitous if you need to check the V-LOG over and over again to find the information you need about XT hunting. That's why I created this post, to make it simpler, to make this information easier to find in some way.
“Before we start, keep in mind – by deciding to get an XT mission, you’re setting out on a road of pain and suffering. Today’s guide won’t make it easier, but it’ll help you save some time and crystals. Let’s go!
First, make sure you’re a Generalissimo. As obvious as it may sound, some players forget that XT missions are only available to the top rank players.
Secondly, remember that to obtain an XT turret, you need to receive and successfully complete a 9999 kills mission with the respective prize. When it comes to XT hulls, it’s 99 999 experience points.
These were basic tips. Now, on to more advanced ones.
The daily missions mechanism makes it impossible for a player to have 2 missions of the same type. This means that if one of your missions is to “Destroy 20 tanks”, you’ll never get an XT mission for 9999 kills. The same goes to experience points missions, so if you have one, exchange it for something else. By the way, this rule does not apply to missions where you need to earn XP on a certain map or in a specific battle mode – technically, those fall into other categories. So, your chance of getting an XT mission is higher if you have 3 active assignments and two of them are non-XT types. This means you can have any kind of mission except for kill or XP ones.
For example: “Collect supply boxes” in one slot and “Finish first in a battle” in another one.
This is the ideal situation for getting an XT mission in the remaining slot.
So, you’ve finally been given an XT assignment. Congratulations! You now have two possible paths.
If you received an XT hull mission, but want to get a whole combo of unique items, start hunting for an XT assignment in another slot. Later, it’ll allow you to complete both missions side by side, as you’ll be getting both experience points and kills in every battle.
If your goal is to get as many XTs as possible by spending the least crystals possible, complete your XT mission first, and only then start searching for another one. The reason is simple: if you have an active Wasp XT mission, it’ll be impossible for you to get an assignment for a unique Hornet or Viking. You’ll only be able to get an XT turret prize, which decreases the overall chance of getting an XT challenge.
And finally, remember: XT missions are extremely rare. Getting one, not to mention several of them, will cost you A LOT. So before beginning the hunt, think twice. May the XTs be with you!”
