I think the amount of options is great to have some variety in battles, though I agree with what you said about real drug battles without smart cooldowns. There are too less of them.

The crystals boxes are removed indeed, but all boxes that would normally fall in the battle are added to the battle fund. Also the probability for a Gold Box to fall has remained the same. It's 1 in 7000. It's possible to see 3 Gold Boxes in less than 10 minutes, but it's also possible to play a game of some hours without any Gold Box to fall. Gold boxes are not rarer nor do they fall more frequently. This section is for Conversation Clubs only. You can discuss everything about Gold Boxes here. Closed
