Smoky or Thunder?
-
I'm sorry, I would've posted a link to it in my answer, but I did a google search for it, and didn't find it. I figured you just hadn't made one yet, so didn't bother to check the forum. I apologize.

With all turrets, it depends on what you want. Thunder can do full damage at longer range. Thunder is better suited for DMs, or TDMs, because of it's splash damage and high damage per shot. Smoky is good for all game modes. Thunder is not as good at CTF because it will self damage itself when going to get the flag, unless you decide to just play midfield. But then, it's probably better to just play a TDM. Thunder does more damage per shot, but Smoky makes up for that by having a faster reload and critical chance. That will also mean that you need to make sure to hit all of your shots with Smoky to stay up to par with Thunder. The impact force is stronger on Smoky than it is on Thunder so you could throw your opponents aim off better with Smoky. Thunder has a slightly faster rotation speed, but not by a lot. Smoky is good with all hulls, but for Thunder, I would suggest a hull with a decent amount of health so that in case you do accidentally do self damage, you're not crippled. It really decides on what you look for in a turret, other items you have in your garage, what maps and modes you play, and what your game play is. Those are the basics of those 2 turrets though. I however use neither of those turrets, so someone else could list the other helpful tips that you don't find on paper. I'm only looking at the statistics on paper and what would make sense.

Just click on this link to go to Server RU1 even if it's full... RU1 However if it reaches max, you still won't be able to.

I think he does what he wants...

You're already using M2 Hornet, so I would suggest M2 Firebird. M2 Ricochet and Viking are great if you can get both of them. Yes, M2 Freeze at your rank is way underpowered. So again, I say get M2 Firebird. It's a great and still OP turret at your rank.

Isida if you have a fast hull, Hornet is pretty universal. ;)

Meh, Micro upgrading is faster :D
-
I'm not desperate. I'll wait. My crystals bank and I thank you! :)
-
Which paints SHOULD I wait for? I've been liking Prodigi, Inferno, and Picasso. However, I don't know exactly what protection I need because I don't always play with generalissimos... :) I would really like a long range paint and a short range paint for the maps that I play on. Or a bit of both. :)

I've been thinking about getting Sandstone because I currently still use Safari. :P However, a lot of people say that they didn't use a paint until around Brigadier. Should I buy Sandstone, or wait for a better paint? Experienced players please answer.

It took along time. I decide what I want and save for it. I use sales. A lot of my friends are shocked that I have lots of crystals, but not all M1s. It's because having all M1s isn't what makes a good combo. Just a few M1s upgraded to M2s saves crystals and makes my tank stronger. I play in Generalissimo battles with my Isida. Usually 7 flag, Silence, 30 min. I constantly heal, and sometimes grab the flag. By the end, I can get around 800 crystals if it's a good team because I get to the top. I don't prefer DMs because the final score is split between all players, where team battles go to mostly the winning team. So if I play a CTF battle and the final score is 7-0, I get the majority of the crystals. This is my favorite/fastest way to get crystals, (I also watch Youtube videos on catching gold boxes. Where they drop, tactics, etc.) This is how I get so many crystals. Another great way is playing with friends. Sometimes my friends and I will play, and we both go flag grabbing, but when he gets the flag, he'll give it to me at the base. Also, when you're playing with friends you get a lot more teamwork going, so you can win. Teamwork wins. Hope this helps. ;)

Nvm, The kits can't go on a sale bigger than what they already are. *sigh* I guess I'll have to get them one by one, and wait for Lieutenant Colonel to get M2 Viking.
-
I have 191,401 crystals. In order of what I want to get first, I want M2 Ricochet, Sandstone (paint better than safari), M2 Viking, and M2 Railgun. If I wait for 50% sales, I can get all of them at 50% sales. However if the Medium Tank Kit M2 goes on sale one more time before they replace it, I'm thinking about getting it. Good paints, and M2 Viking at 1st Lieutenant. Then if Ricochet is on sale also I can get that from the crystals I get from ranking up. I'll just have to give up M2 Railgun, but that's okay. I have M2 Freeze and Isida already. Which one should I do? M2 Medium Tank Kit, or separate? (And have to wait for M2 Viking at Lieutenant Colonel)
-
I'm planning on getting Sandstone. I don't know what to get after that though. Wait forever and get Picasso? I'm wanting a paint that protects against long range guns, or Isida and Freeze. Or 2 paints that are best for short range, and long range. (For different maps). I don't want them now, just for the future. (But I'd still rather not wait till Generalissimo.)

Viking M2 is very good. However, your M2 turrets don't go great with it. I would get M2 Twins, Ricochet, or Smoky with M2 Viking if you're planning on getting M2 Viking
-
Okay, thank you :)

Exactly what I was thinking. There is a reason why Corrosion and Swash are the most popular paints at that level... M2 Firebird and M2 Dictator are way OP. Railgun and Wasp are also very nice. I feel that M2 Freeze wouldn't be the best choice for you at your rank, because it first unlocks at WO5. (Just an opinion). I also use M2 Isida and Hornet, and I really hate running into M2 Dictators and Firebirds. Even if they are at less health, the majorly boosted burning effect on M2 Firebird still kills you afterward anyway.

I think that it would be better to have one micro-upgraded combo, then working on getting the other M3s. Get crystals faster and have more fun. Should I get M3 Freeze, Isida, or Hornet first? (Please answer only to those 3)
-
Probably very soon. Just keep watching the Tankionline news and the V-Log ;)
-
I'm planning on getting both, but it depends on your play style and your hull. With M2 Hornet both are good, but I personally think M2 Railgun is better on it. With a medium or heavy hull, M2 Rico is probably better. Both are very good guns, and can be good with almost any tank, but they have different tanks that they are best with. My personal favorite is M2 Rico, but M2 Rail is up there with it.
-
M2 Firebird is way way way better, but you just might have to wait till Christmas. They might do something for halloween or Thanksgiving, but idk. It depends on your play style. I personally at your level would get M2 firebird. I have M2 Isida, but it loses value really fast. At your rank, M2 Firebird will be better imo.
-
It depends. M2 Firebird is a great turret, but you'll have to get close, so I would use a lighter tank. It's also very good for breaking through defenses, because of its burning ability. A lot of this depends on which hull you use and which maps. I think rico is a better midfielder because firebird has a really long reload, and you can only pop in and back out if you want to survive. Firebird would be good for small map defending because even when you die, they burn. But rico is great for shooting people in the middle of the field. Firebird is an all or nothing turret. You run for the flag or whatever, and run back. It melts though their defenses, but you run out fast. I'm personally planning on getting rico because I'm also a mid-fielder. It goes good with a medium hull in the mid-field, or even grabbing the flag.

When I was a lower rank, I just micro-upgraded my health all the way on my M1 Hornet. There was very small chance for a M2 Rail to kill me in one shot. But getting a M2 Hornet is a great improvement. (I didn't use protective paints)
