The idea is that you now have longer to get to the top rank and get your M3s. So instead of 1 million xp, it is 1.4 million xp. This means that earning less for longer is the same as earning more for less time, so in fact it's the same. We don't know if the devs will do anything more with it in the future.

Paint looks awesome! And the GB value doubling is nice!

Review [Issue 11] Looking Back: Sports in April
Lhamster replied to Lhamster in [Issue 11] Looking Back: Sports in April Newspaper Archive
This is a new series, in where I look over the sports stories of the past month and pick out some of the big stories for you. In this past month, there have been quite a few stories! So, lets take a look. Football (Soccer) In the Premier League, England's top division of Football, Manchester United won their 20th title on the 22nd of April after a 3-0 win over Aston Villa with 4 games remaining. Last season, they were just beaten to the title on goal difference on the last day of the season by their rivals Manchester City, so to win it in such emphatic fashion this season will have been a great relief and feeling. QPR and Reading were relegated with 3 games remaining and there is a fight on to not be the final team relegated, it could come down to Aston Villa vs Wigan, 2 of the teams fighting in the relegation battle, on the last day of the season. Gareth Bale won the PFA Player of the Year and Young Player of the Year awards, becoming the only the 3rd player to win both awards in the same season. In Spain, Barcelona look to win La Liga with Real Madrid 2nd and Atletico Madrid taking the 3rd Champion League place. Real Madrid got the better of Barcelona in the El Clasico matches this season, winning two and drawing two. In Germany Bayern Munich dominated the Bundesliga, winning the title with 6 games remaining, the quickest ever. Borussia Dortmund are 20 points behind in 2nd place but could still beat Bayern to the Champions League title. In France, the team David Beckham signed for, Paris St Germain, look set to win Ligue 1, being 9 points ahead of Marseille with 4 games remaining. Now to Italy, where Juventus are 1 point from clinching the title. The other Champions league spots are still up for grabs, Napoli and AC Milan currently occupy them, but 5 other teams can still mathematically take those spots, although it really looks to be between AC Milan and Fiorentina. In Portugal, the top 2 teams have run away with it, with 2nd placed Porto being 19 points clear of 3rd place. Benifica are a point ahead but with a game in hand. Both Porto and Benifica have been unbeaten all season, an incredible feat. In the the Champions league, the Semi Final stages have been reached, and the German teams in the competition, Bayern Munich and Borussia Dortmund both won great first leg victories over the Spanish teams of Barcelona and Real Madrid respectively. In the 2nd leg of the Semi Finals, Real Madrid beat Borussia Dortmund, scoring 2 goals in the last 8 minutes, but it wasn't enough to stop Dortmund from going through to the final, with the score over the 2 legs being 4-3. It couldn't have been more different in the other second leg of the Semi Fnals, Bayern Munich dominating and beating Bacelona 3-0 at the Nou Camp to add to the emphatic 4-0 win in the first leg, and going through to the final with a record score of 7-0. In the Europa League, the Semi Finals have also been reached with Chelsea the only English club left in the competition. They have a 2-1 lead going into the 2nd leg of their Semi Final match against the Swiss team that knocked out Tottenham, FC Basel. In the other Semi Final, Portuguese club Benfica, who knocked out Newcastle have a 1-0 lead over Fenerbahce, a Turkish club. Cricket This month in cricket has seen the international calendar shelved temporarily in favour of the domestic game in England and India, both of which the main domestic league has begun this month - the Indian Twenty20 Premier League in India and the County Championship in England. The former has attracted a vast array of the game's big stars, and the matches have not disappointed. A host of final ball finishes and a number of super overs, not to mention some fantastic power hitting and some skilful bowling, has ensured that the league as a spectacle certainly has not lost any of its array. The form table, as ever with the IPL, has thrown up some surprises, with last season's top two, Delhi Daredevils and Kolkota Knight Riders, suffering for players' form and results have not been going their way. The domestic season's beginnings have not stopped one international series from going ahead, however - that between Test Cricket's "loser sides", Bangladesh and Zimbabwe. Zimbabwe comfortably won the first test, but Bangladesh fought hard to finish the series as a tie. The One-day-internationals and Twenty20 matches will decide who gets bragging rights in the battle between the bottom two Test-cricketing nations. A couple of other notable records were made during this month - Chris Gayle for Bangalore in the IPL made the fastest-ever Twenty-20 century, getting his 100 of just 30 balls. He went on to make the highest ever T20 score as well, racking up 175 runs in total. There also was another milestone made in the County Championship reserve league - Lancashire's Second XI batter Jordan Clark hit six sixes off an over, the first person to do so in an unlimited-overs match since 1984. and the first Englishman and only the fifth player ever in professional cricket to hit six sixes in an over. Formula 1 The 2013 Season is in full swing, with 2 races this month, in Shanghai, China and Sakhir, Bahrain. Fernando Alonso dominated the Chinese Grand Prix, with Lewis Hamilton fighting off Sebastian Vettel in the closing stages to secure 3rdplace. Kimi Raikkonen completed the Podium, finishing 2nd. McLaren's Jensen Button had a good weekend after McLaren's slow start to the season, finishing 5th. In Bahrain, Sebastian Vettel dominated the GP in Bahrain, with the Lotus' of Kimi Raikkonen and Roman Grosjean coming 2nd and 3rd. Scottish driver Paul Di Resta, driving for Force India, equaled his best ever finish, coming 4th. The McLaren’s of Jensen Button and Sergio Perez battled a lot, touching wheels at one point and Perez hitting the back of Button. The tyres played a big part in both races, especially the 'Soft' tyre in China, in terms of how fast they degrade (lose grip) and therefore the number of pit stops each driver had to make. There was some great racing and overtakes in both races. Rugby In the last month, there has been the cummulation of the main Northern hemisphere rugby union leagues - the English Premiership, French Top 14 and the Celtic and Italian Pro12. With one round of matches left to go in each of the leagues, the play-off positions are all but sewn up. Saracens, Leicester Tigers, Harlequins and Northampton Saints (in that order) have secured the top four positions in the Premiership, Clermont, Toulon, Toulose and Castres in the Top 14 and it is between the Scarlets and the Ospreys to secure the final PRO12 playoff sport, accompanying Leinster, Ulster and Glasgow Warriors. There has also been this month the cummulation of the two big European rugby cups - the Heineken cup and its little brother, the Challenge Cup. The Heineken Cup Quarter Finals went much to plan, with only one surprise result, which was Harlequins suffering a surprising loss to the Irish province Munster. Leicester Tiger's defeat to Toulon left Saracens the sole English club left in European competition, as the Challenge Cup also included English heartbreak - three of the four of the losing Quarter Finalists were English. The semi-finals in the Heineken Cup were all-french triumphs, and the two finalists are both from across the Channel - Clermont Auvergne against Toulon is the final match-up. The Challenge Cup sees Leinster play Stade Francais, with the Irish side hoping to ensure that the two European trophies do not both travel across into the Gallic kingdoms. The other big news in Northern Hemisphere Rugby this month was the announcement of the squad for the Lions tour. There were a number of notable exclusions, most notably England's captain Chris Robshaw. The Wales back row forward, Sam Warburton was named as captain of the 37-man squad which will travel to Australia in the summer in an attempt to win at least two of the three test matches and come home victorious. Tennis World number one Novak Djokovic ended Rafael Nadal's eight-year winning run in the Monte Carlo Masters, beating him in straight sets in the Final. It was Djokovic's first masters title and avenged his defeat by Nadal in last year's final. Until this defeat Nadal had a 46 match unbeaten run at Monte Carlo. Nadal bounced back in the next competition though, winning the Barcelona Open in his native Spain. It was his 8th straight title here and he has a 39 match unbeaten run, not losing since 2003. At Wimbledon, the prize money has been increased 40% this year to a total of £22.6 million and plans for a retracing roof on Number One Court, like the one on Centre Court, have been announced. Out of the 3 there I like players. Due to being a leader of minions, I cannot be called minion myself, but I like the idea of calling everyone else minions.

This time we've had some good entries for this category and the judges were unanimous on deciding that: Winning the category 'Fighting for the Gold Box' and 3500 crystals is: I_Am_Killer_Italiano With this picture: Congrats and thanks to all who entered! -
Sorry, taken. As IC know. :D

This will just be like old times, when it fell at 700, a massive fight for it. I did like that, although back then I wasn't strong enough to fight for it. While everyone waits for it, good opportunity to cap some flags xD
-
Lol, if you see me in a battle currently, I will always be using Microchip. I can always switch to reporter too, although Microchip looks better. Be interesting to see what Forum mod paint looks like. xD

I suggest this arguing stops now. Buying by SMS is only avaliable in some countries, unfortunatly, Palastine is not one of them. This is assuming Palastine and Israel use different phone networks. Thread closed to avoid a flame war. All the players who insulted, used profanity and generally acted against the rules will be banned.

Congrats, you shooting me was a like a pea shooter xD

Review [Issue 11] CSL Season 2 Review
Lhamster replied to Lhamster in [Issue 11] CSL Season 2 Review Newspaper Archive
Over the past 4 weeks clans from the English and German Communities have been fighting in the second season of the Cybersport League. For those that don't know, the format of the league is that each weekend for 4 weeks, the clans played in a round. After the 1st round, winners played winners and losers played losers for the following rounds. In each match, after 2 rounds the flags from both rounds we added together and the clan with the highest number of flags won. If they were tied, then 2 more rounds were played and the flags from all 4 rounds were added together. If it was still all square, the match was declared a draw and each clan got 1 point. For a win, a clan got 3 points and no points for a loss. Some of the matches were streamed live by the Cybersport Commentators or more commonly known as 'DJs'. The videos of these streams can be found on the Cybersport Livestream channel here. The results can be found here I'll take a look at what happened round by round. There are tie breakers going on to determine the final positions, but we'll look at them next Issue as they happen after this Issue is published. Round 1 In Round 1 there were no major upsets, with the clans widely expected to have a chance of winning the CSL, such as the Dare Devils and The Mighty Midgets getting past their opposition with relative ease. The highest score of the round, 28-0, was recorded by the Dutch Warriors against Like A Boss. Even as early as the first round there were forfeits, with Armageddon getting a bye against the Noob Crew as NC merged with Still Amongst The Living. There was controversy in this round, with SATL and Behemoth being made to replay their match due to violations of the rules by both sides. SATL had won the original game, but BEE won the replay comprehensibly with 9 flags to 1, the majority of these flags coming in the 4th round when SATL had to change their players due to some having to leave. Round 2 Again in round 2, there were no unexpected results, with the favourites comfortably winning their matches again. The highest score of this round, 15-0, was again recorded against the unfortunate LAB clan, this time by The Ironclads. Their were more forfeits this round as Volt Lightning and Armageddon pulled out of the tournament. This round was on Tribute, when meant the tactics were different to the previous round, as Tribute is smaller, and has more large buildings and the bases are smaller and so freeze is very effective. All the results in this round but 2 had the winning clan not conceding any flags, only PanzerKnacker and We Are Anonymous managing to take some consolation flags. Round 3 Round 3 was played on Solikamsk, which again let to a variety of tactics, Mammoths in defence was a popular one. This round there were unfortunately 4 forfeits, but luckily 2 of the clans who had pulled out were drawn together, preventing more matches not being played. The scores were very similar this round, with four 2-0, two 3-0 and two 4-1 victories being recorded. Best of German, widely regarded as a formidable clan, surprisingly lost their 3rd match in a row, and were joint bottom of the table at this point. LAB got their smallest loss so far, but it was only due to forfeiting their match against Nitro Danger. Round 4 This was the final round, and was played on Red Alert, which continued the trend of the maps getting smaller each round. The 2 big games this round were DD vs BEE and GCC vs TMM, as these would decide who finished as the top 2. GCC narrowly beat TMM, 3-2, TMM's 2nd flag was one of the best captures I've seen, they showed great teamwork to get the flag back to their base with the flag changing hands 6 times and GCC constantly trying to get the flag back and coming within inches of returning at least 3 times. DD beat BEE 3-0, with BEE having to defend heavily. This means GCC will play DD in a tie breaker for 1st place. Best of German managed to finally win, vs LAB, giving them their heaviest defeat yet, 34-0 in just 1 round, leaving them bottom of the table with no points. However, some inside information suggests that they will hopefully improve next season. There were some other heavy defeats, WAA beating ND 19-0, and CP beating Ghostbuster 12-0. So this leaves 7 clans on 9 points fighting for 3rd place, we'll find out how they and 1st place works next Issue. ~Lham~ -
Interview [Issue 11] Ask the Community 3
Lhamster replied to Lhamster in [Issue 11] Ask the Community 3 Newspaper Archive
This time for Ask the Community, I decided to do a non Tanki topic, namely, 'What is your favourite three course meal and why?' @hogree Great question Hamster, and you picked the right guy to ask. Food is my thing. ^_^ I'm gonna struggle on this, so I decided to sort it out simply. Starters first, so I dont have my mouth watering all the way through... oh wait, its still gonna.. anyway... Now, Im not that big a eater, neither do I eat many starters. But off my head, I can easily think of a lot of nice ones. To start off a meal, I generally would go for a simple assorted selection of Chinese Fried Foods, spring rolls and the rest of em, and maybe a dumpling or two - perfect case scenario. Possibly even a dish of noodles. However, I'm big on juices as well, so I'd take a drink of.. lets say Tropical Juice to go with that. So some Chinese snacks (spring rolls, dumplings, noodles even?) with a standard mug of Freshly-squeezed Tropical Juice.. mmmmmm But onto the main meal, now we're starting to talk. I'll just give three options of my favourites. First off is simple, a lovely lasagne is very hard to beat. But it is more than equalled by one of my faves, a top-quality burger with potato wedges. Perfect spices.. oh my, im hungry already. Finally, a Chinese main, definitely. Love my Chinese food.. preferablly something spicy, maybe some duck thrown in, stir fry veg, oh you dont know what your missing if you've never had a proper chinese, authentic chinese by the chinese. Top three: Lasagne, Burger, Chinese Dessert takes some serious thinking, but I decided to run with pavlova, my all time favourite. Peaches, Strawberries, Blackberries, Raspberries on the top, and you have some awsum pavlova... Oh mah!! its sooo good. Closely behind is cherry pie and ice cream/yoghurt (adore it) along with any gateuax... And there closes my pointless raving about epic foods! I suppose this can be some kind of creme soup for starter. Warms you up when it's cold (note: it's often cold in Russia =) ) Some frankfurters with mashed potatoes for main course. It's quite simple to prepare (I cook myself). As for dessert, usually it is something sweet, like icecream or fruit. @jokjinari I have been waiting a long for somebody to ask me this; I absolutely looove food. Let's see...For a starter I would probably eat Ceasar Salad to outweigh the unhealthiness of the rest of the meal (My mom is always getting on my case about eating the right things and I can't be disobeying now, can I?). This is a hard decision to make, but for the main dish I would probably have to choose a good piece of steak, cooked medium (my mouth is already watering) and steak fries to go along with it--yummy! As for desert: Apple Pie A La Mode would be a perfect end to a perfect meal :) @JamesM10 This isn't a simple question for me, as I enjoy lots of different foods. To make things easier, I will tell you about the best three course meal I have got from a restaurant. For starters, chicken wings with hot peri-peri sauce, I don’t eat hot, spicy foods on a regular basis as they literally make my mouth burn to pieces. However, on occasion I really do enjoy the taste, I just have to make sure there’s a drink within arm’s reach! Now for the main course! In my opinion, there’s nothing that beats a good bit of steak. I enjoy nearly every, if not all meats and fish, beef or lamb being my favourite. I have my steaks medium-rare as I like the middle to be pink. To go with a good steak, I like some Mango Chutney, chips, peas and a few potatoes if I can. Finally, we come to the best bit of a 3 course meal, the dessert! A foot long Knickerbocker glory filled with strawberry, vanilla and toffee ice cream, covered with strawberry and chocolate syrup and some different fruits to top it all off. A mixture of hot and spicy chicken wings, tough meat and creamy ice cream. Now that was the best three course meal I’ve had in a long time! @Mandra For starter, I like it simple, a nice piece of Honey Dew Melon, left in the skin, sliced and diced. For main, has to be a good Sunday Roast Chicken, The Chicken has to be cooked upsidedown initially to keep breast moist, and turned upright for last 20 min to crisp skin. Then there are the roasties (Roast Potatoes), they need to have a nice crispy skin but you have to be careful not to over cook as skin will become too tough, and nice and fulffy in the middle. Then there is the veg. I prefere Carrot mashed with Turnip, and little Coliflower. Finally the most important part is the gravy, this MUST be made with Bisto and the chicken juices, if Bisto is not used then the whole meal will be a letdown. As I always say a lot of things can be forgiven but dont mess with my gravy! After all that food its best to go for a light Dessert, so I go for Pavlova with Cream and finish it all off with a fresh cup of strong Coffee. (None of the instant rubbish please!) Lets see, hard thing to ask. I enjoy almost everything. For starters, I would have to go for the garlic bread, toasted to perfection and sprinkled with oil and minced garlic. The main dish is the most difficult part. My thoughts first turn to something Italian, but I am not sure that would be my dream meal. I think I would have to go with an Asian entry. My final decision would pork lo mein. Pan fried Chinese noodles mixed with sautéed vegetables and and flame seared pork strips. One simply does not know how good it is until they try it. Now for dessert. Probably the easiest of all, as it is the best of all. After eating spicy garlic bread and hot noodles, one desires something cool. When I think cool, my mind goes to ice cream. With a million different flavors and varieties, ice cream is a dessert that can satisfy and person. As for flavor, I would go for the mint chocolate chip. Cool, refreshing, and tastes great. That would be my dream meal. @BarbaFenner89 The first course meal I like most are Burritos with Nachos. The Burrito is really tasty and the meat in it is just perfectly combined with the hot sauce and the fried onion. Adding some salad in it is even better! The Nachos are crunchy and tasty as well, it's really amazing flooding them with a hot cheese sauce and then adding some spices and different kind of meat. (Here's a picture to make your mouth water!) The second course meal I like most is Italian Pizza (I'm Italian, so I know what I'm speaking about ;) ). It's amazing to make it on your own since you can add as much tomatoes sauce as you want and also add different ingredients. The one I like most is Pizza with Ham & Onion, even if I really like the normal one, the Margherita. The last course meal I like most is the Ice-Cream (as a dessert). You can eat it in any season and it's really tasty if done in a good manner. Nowadays you will find multiple types of ice-cream, but I still love only two kinds of them: Hazelnut and Cherry (not mixed, obviously ;) ) For Starter, battered brie. The soft unctuous melted cheese covered in a light batter with the mingling of salt and fat in the mouth is delicious. It's difficult to select a main meal as there are so many to choose from, but a particular favourite is tagliatelle in a rich cream sauce which has been prepared with onion, garlic and mushrooms with a Quorn escalope, preferably also battered. Accompanied by a side salad consisting of fresh spinach, rocket and watercress with a light mustard dressing Again, this is a rich, satisfying dish which is full of flavour. For desert, a not too sweet lemon tart with a dollop of double cream. The sharpness and sweetness combined would end what would be a fantastic meal perfectly. The only other things I would like to add to this meal are real English ale and good company. @CooperO For Starter: salad with mozzarella, pesto, tomato and lattice. It's fresh, light and great to start your appetite. For Main: curry rice with ham, baked onions and paprika. Recipe from my grandmother. I love rice even without anything through it, this just gives some taste to it. For Dessert: yoghurt, nothing else. I eat it twice a day pretty much every day and I can still thoroughly enjoy it. (But it has to be from the brand Campina). @loktinho Food...well, I'm really not that picky of a person in terms of appetite, but I do have simple preferences. For an appetizer, I prefer a simple caesar salad with a cream soup served with garlic bread. For a main course, I would have to say Speghetti Bolognaise. It's probably the dish that I've eated most in my life, probably because of my liking towards the unique sauce. I've been to several continents finding and tasting different versions like it, and all of them appeal to me as tasty and appetizing. For dessert, I like having a simple Lindor Chocolate Bar, or just a cake. I prefer Blackforest Cakes, or Cheesecakes. Those are what my choices are for a 3 course meal, but often there isn't a meal customization option (imagine the world with it...), and any one of those three choices would make my meal more than splendid. For me, this is really tough, I love my food! Although, I think, after some thought, I'm going to have to go for Calamari (Fried Squid) with Lemon Mayonnaise to start. I just love the combo of the crunchy batter, the taste of the squid and that delicious Mayo! The main course was the hardest, with so many things to choose from, do I go something Italian, or a classic British dish? What about Asian food? After much deliberation, I've decided to go for my long time favourite dish, one that I could eat over and over again on a regular basis, and it's not necessarily the most classy, high end dish, but boy does it taste good! What dish is this you wonder? It's the classic Spaghetti Bolognese! So good, especially when your Grandma makes it! Having said that, almost nothing beats a good Bacon Sandwich, but its not exactly a main course! And finally for the dessert, the decision was hard too, there were a few desserts I like a lot, such as Lemon Cheesecake, Pavlova and Sticky Toffee Pudding, all amazing, especially when homemade. In the end, I've decided to go for... all of them. Yeah, I just couldn't decide! I also love Stroopwafels! So there you have it! What's your favourite meal? Let us know below! -
I read it, but only because its an unread topic and I already know all of the news posted there.
-
I have never heard of a Corvette dominating Le Mans. Its Audi, Porsche etc that dominate the famous Le Mans race.
-
The ability to change weapon and tank while in battle is planned to be implemented.
-
We had the mosquito battles, something like that would be nice actually.
-
Golds are completly random, so don't expect a certain number per amount of battle fund. Actually, what he said made perfect sense, he could have got 300 after 123 and now 1000. (30 and 100 before 123). Who's "clever" now?
-
We had the royal rumble and the wolf battles for that, but it started to be where no-one showed up, so they were ended.
-
The actual fund was cut to 70%, but other factors meant you in the end earned 50%. I was told 70% too.
-
The is the update I've probably been most happy for a while about, and not really because of what actually happens in game, but because the devs realised they made a mistake, and have been humble enough to admit it and correct it, at least partially. I do hope they will continue to learn. My respect for them has gone up. :)
-
For those who keep asking if it is going to stay forever, please read the topic before repeatedly asking the same quetion which has already been answered.
-
tl;dr stands for too long;didn't read
-
I already had ninja training before getting mod powers. Helps a lot. :D
