I will give my example: I want to get rail m3 which i can get when i buy medium m3 kit. BUT im getting other stuffs which i don't like so in this case getting kit will be useless, and if you think rest of the stuff in the kit are useful to you then i recommend getting a kit then.

I will say go for m2 hornet, it is really helpful in your situation. I was in same situation as well and now i have isida m3 and hornet m3 amazing combo.
